This was the perfect location to tour Niagara Falls and area…just a short drive. The place is friendly, clean and would be excellent in the summer months if you have kids. I would definitely consider Vine Ridge Resort for my next stay.
View on GoogleWe enjoyed are stay and we were told to bring our own linens but did not assume we had to bring a tea towel, dishcloth and paper towels. We used a few dishes and washed them as best we could but left them in the drying rack. No information was available for operating the air, furnace or where to deposit garbage. It was a very handy location to stay to access attractions in the Niagara area.
View on GoogleWe spent a weekend in a superior cottage at Vine Ridge Resort and for the most part was satisfied with our stay. It's definitely one of the most cost-effective options in the area for larger families or groups, and it's close proximity to several amazing wineries was an important feature. For four adults and one child, we had plenty of space, and having two bathrooms was very convenient. That being said, there were some concessions with staying here, including having to bring our own bedding, linens, towels, bathroom amenities, and basic kitchen supplies. While there was a full kitchen with cookware, utensils, plates and glasses, there was no dish soap, sponges, paper towels, or enough garbage bags provided. There's a $100 cleaning fee and $25/night resort fee that's automatically charged regardless of how many nights you decide to stay. They also appeared short on staff, with only one person running both the convenience store and check-ins, and we were told that it'd be at least an hour before a maintenance person would be able to "guide us" through the cottage and resort's amenities due to the high number of check-ins at that time. We weren't able to wait for them due to having afternoon plans, and when we returned later that evening, our front door had been unlocked and left open with our personal belongings inside. Overall, we will likely consider Vine Ridge Resort again if we intend on staying more than one or two nights, however the inconveniences of having to pay the additional fees, bringing our own basic amenities, and costs for incidentals is not worth it otherwise.
View on GoogleAwesome location since it was close to many wineries and a short distance to Niagara on the lake. Very clean accommodations and all that we needed for a very enjoyable 2 night stay. Highly recommended
View on GoogleThis will be the third time we’ve booked some vacation time at VineRidge. The overall experience was good. The pools are great and the kids could run free. The only reason I can’t give 5 stars is because we booked the ‘superior’ cottage and found that the unit was not equipped with the basic necessities like: enough toilet paper/paper towel, garbage bags, t-towels to dry dishes, dish soap or sponges/brushes to wash dishes, hand soap in the bathrooms, bed linens, towels etc. We had to do a full grocery/supply run like we were moving in to a new apartment. Slightly disappointed because we spent two-thirds of a mortgage payment to stay there for 3 nights so I expected for that cost, that these basic things could be supplied. Other than that, the staff is friendly and helpful. The facilities are clean and the grounds well maintained. Great place for an easy getaway for a family with kids.
