Victoria Motor Inn

I booked this hotel through Booking.com for my mom (77 years old), my aunts, and my sisters. When they arrived, the room was not ready—the beds were unmade and the bathroom was dirty. The front desk said they would fix it, but after waiting more than 20 minutes nothing was done. My family decided not to use the room and tried to find another place to stay, but there was nothing available nearby. They ended up spending the night in the car, one even in the trunk, and had to use a restaurant bathroom. This was extremely stressful and unsafe, especially for elderly guests. The next morning, the manager said the refund had to be handled by Booking.com. Booking.com then said it was the hotel’s responsibility. Each side blamed the other, leaving us with no solution. I tried calling the hotel again, but no one answered. This experience was exhausting and unacceptable. I am filing complaints with consumer protection authorities, but I also want to warn others: be very careful before booking here and using booking.com.

Please stay somewhere else for basically the same price. This hotel was absolutely disgusting. The outside appears decent but once you open the room door you're very disappointed. The pictures are not accurate. The room hadn't been cleaned at all and the carpet was filthy. I fear for anyone who stays there with a peanut allergy as there are peanuts (along with other stuff) under the beds and behind furniture. The tv didn't work, the wifi barely worked. We had silver fish in our bedding. The door looked like it had been kicked in and let in a horrible draft. We stayed in the double family room and only one room had heat. The drafty sliding doors to the balcony made the other room absolutely freezing (no bathroom heat either). We had to leave the heat blasting and sweat all night just to try and heat the room up on the other side. The warmest we could get it was 67 degrees. Not ideal when traveling with a child and infant. The restaurant they claim is attached is smoke poutine. No phone, front desk service, microwave, stove, mat for shower, the towels were so small. I'm pretty sure there was blood on the wall behind our bed and on the lampshades which were all punched in and damaged. Along with the holes in the walls. They say there is daily room service but that didn't happen. We had towels waiting to be changed and garbage piling up by the end and not once did anyone come to clean the room. Save yourself feeling like your skin is crawling and enjoy anywhere but here.

Victoria motor inn is in the perfect location, very clean and has the nicest staff at the front desk. It is family owned and the husband and wife that are usually st the desk are super friendly and reasonable with prices. I have only good things to say about this place.

I felt bad seeing how outmoded is the hotel. The shower is so old fashioned I thought I would break it. No fridge, microwave etc. The towels were so small. No conditioner or lotion.just soap and shampoo. The bed was comfortable though that is the only positive thing I can say and yes its good location. Whoever owns this place should think of upgrading or renovationg it slowly. Sad to see how old it looks. I can find something better than this.

The location of this motel was very convenient and made our stay easier. However, the place could use some renovations - our bathroom toilet was loose and moved around. Also, having at least a couple of bottles of drinking water in the room would be a thoughtful touch and much appreciated. With a few improvements, this could be a much better stay!
