Value Village

The welland location happens to be my go to location. It’s by far the cleanest and most organized location yet. I’ve been to a few down in the Niagara region and others are veryyyyy dirty. The staff here is actually friendly and helpful. A lot of good options I always leave with a big cart full of everything.

I have been coming to this VV almost weekly with my kids to look for books. The children's bookshelves are always immaculately organized. Chapter books on one side, picture books on the other, large books on the top shelf. Last summer they raised the price of children's books from $1.79 to $1.99. I understand they need to occasionally raise the prices, that's not a problem. Today, the bookshelves were trashed. Every bit of order was gone; all the books were mixed up, strewn around the floor, laying flat on the shelves, etc. To make matters worse, the books had been randomly priced starting at $2.49 all the way up to $6.99. This is insane and out of hand. I won't be back.

I bought "my princess playhouse castle" in advance for my granddaughter... So 6 months ago. I went to put it together today for her visit, and it's got numerous broken frame pieces!!!!! It is pure garbage! Shame on you, Value Village for not checking it out for usability prior to putting it out in the sakes floor! Shame on the loser who donated a broken item to the store. Shameful, disappointed, cannot get refund so long after. I even asked a staff member before purchasing if it was functional.... Staff member said oh yes! Will never shop there again.

Visited this location today the staff were friendly enough but went to use the restroom and nearly vomited. There was literal poop around the base of the toilet and the floor was filthy. I can't even begin to describe the smell. A portapotty would have been better. I have worked in customer service for many years and I would be embarrassed to have this available to the public on my watch. Despicable. Do better value village.

I brought my son in here today so he could thrift. I thought the store lay out was organized. They have a lot product in this store. The staff were friendly when checking out. My son left happy with a few cool finds. The store was clean.
