Prices are ridiculous considering all items are donated. Some items had nearly the same price you'd pay for brand new. I won't be bothered to return here or any other location . Doesn't seem to embrace the for charity model used by other charitable second hand stores.
View on GoogleThe blonde, slightly tall female self checkout worker with glasses is always so rude. Twice now I have gone in and said "hi, I just have a return." and both times her response was "are you paying with card?". I am in this store every week, I know the slef checkouts are card only, maybe she shouldn't disregard the statement I just made and actually inform me as to how to proceed first. Both times after scanning my items and then processing the return she skips through eveey single menu without asking if I have a coupon or not, or informing me my account has already been entered. Last time she rudely said "I can't process this return because I can't give you cash." My mom and I were both confused because the items we were buying cost more than the return. We told her of this and she just said "No, your new purchase has to be more." we said for a second time "It is." then she got even more annoyed, fully processed the return and then just walked away without saying anything even leaving the item we were returning with us. We had to call her back to make sure there wasn't a receipt she needed, because multiple printed; and to inform her the item we were returning has been left on the self checkout. But today she was extremely rude. Before processing my return she rudely asked "all 3 of your items have been scanned?" as if she couldn't just look on the monitor she was about to use. She then, without a single reason, picked up my backpack to book it back down in the exact same place to make sure I wasn't stealing. Mind you she made a return for me 4 days ago when I came in with my mother, and you're still going to assume I'm stealing? And after that she even purposely knocked my bag onto the floor, while it was open, letting it fall the 4 feet to the ground. Thankfully I left my laptop at home today or else it would have smashed against the floor. Even her coworker was just standing there in disbelief as he picked it up and apologized. I had spent about 5 minutes after leaving just cleaning it off since it was now covered in dust. I will be calling to file a complaint. I had to delete my original 4/5 review of the store to leave this one. If this is how they treat customers who come in multiple times a week, I can't imagine how they treat others.
View on GoogleI am disgusted with your pricing. I spoke today with what I thought might be a floor manager..... I brought to her attention what I thought was just a few over priced kitchen appliances.... coffee maker for 99.00 an old electric frying pan for 21.00... her explanation was they look at what retail outlets are selling them for and the old electric frying pan was well thats a vintage item. My question is but I think I've answered it myself....are you guys in business to help people in need or is it all about profits. I told the lady today I will never donate anything more to VV when here I was thinking I'm trying to help people in need. Oh yeh this kind lady informed me if the prices are too high for you just make an offer as we are here to support our community.
View on GoogleI am writing to express my disappointment with the treatment my companions and I received at your store this evening.at approx 7:50 pm Our experience at the self-checkout was extremely unpleasant and unprofessional. The Karen you have working is a miserable woman who should NOT be working in customer service! She was rude, overbearing, and appeared to be targeting my son for no reason. Her attitude and approach made what should have been a simple purchase very uncomfortable. We felt singled out and treated poorly, which is not what customers expect when shopping in your store. As for the Asian “Supervisor” his communication was difficult to understand and he was wearing a mask which didn’t help. Because of this experience, we will not be returning to your store. In addition, I will no longer be donating to Value Village, as I do not feel comfortable supporting a business where customers are treated this way! I will encourage fam and friends not to either. I hope you take this complaint seriously and address the behavior and service issues at the Lundys Lane location.
View on GoogleJust because they don’t want to give me my change they told me to buy the paper bag which i did then the cashier kept it away after scanning. So i am paying for bags but they are not giving it to me. Like what is going on? I understand you guys work on donations but this is not a way to run a business. It is ethically wrong. Never going back again.
