I went to get a new outfit on Tuesday night in Niagara Falls. I want to give a shout out to Alicia. She went above and beyond to help me. Giving me her honest opinions and running back and fourth. GREAT customer service!

Store is quite large, quite a lot of selection. I also bought maybe 5 dresses here for different weddings I had to attend this year, all very cute and adult wedding appropriate but for less than $25! 2 stars because every time I’ve shopped here, some of the staff is really quite rude - it’s always the floor or dressing room girls. Very unhelpful when you ask for assistance, and the dressing room girl on all occasions just stare you down when you’re trying on clothes. Very uncomfortable experiences. Should consider putting the mirrors IN the change rooms.

Today I went to Urban Planet at PEN CENTRE to exchange a jacket due to a manufacturing defect on the hood. From the beginning it was a problem because we didn’t have the receipt, and the woman who helped us said that without a receipt the exchange was not possible. We explained that a guy who works there had assisted us that same day and knew the purchase was made only a week ago, but she still refused to help. Then the woman — who said she was the manager — told us that while we looked for the online payment, we should go get the other jacket to do the exchange, but she said it while rolling her eyes, with a very rude attitude. From that moment, I realized they are not prepared to deal with customers at all. Just that gesture showed me that they don’t hire people with proper customer service skills. I went to get the jacket and showed the payment to another girl, since the “manager” got busy. The payment clearly showed the date, price, store name URBAN PLANET, and the address. Even then, she asked: “But it doesn’t say when you bought it?” My mom, in a polite way, told her “you need glasses” so she could see the information better, and she immediately assumed we were insulting her. Out of nowhere, she started yelling at us saying “you are not going to be rude to me”, when at no point did we try to offend her. We only went there for an exchange. The worst part was that she yelled this at my mom in front of all the customers, causing an unnecessary and embarrassing situation. After that embarrassment, they sent us back to the “manager”, who only then decided to deal with us again. I will never return to this store. Everyone there always has a bad attitude, zero empathy, and zero willingness to help. If you don’t want to work in customer service, don’t like complaints, and don’t know how to handle them, then don’t do this job. Disgusting experience.
