Sensei Jeremy’s support, patience, and encouragement have been exactly what my boys have needed. He doesn’t just teach martial arts — he teaches life skills: confidence, resilience, respect, and self-belief. Thanks to Sensei Jeremy, my boys have grown not only stronger physically, but emotionally as well. We are truly grateful to have found a dojo with such a caring and inspiring instructor. When I was a kid, United Family Martial Arts was more than just a karate school—it was my second home. I spent every day there after school, and it became a place where I not only learned martial arts, but also grew as a person. I would teach the younger students and then immediately start trianing in my own classes afterwards. The sense of community, teamwork, and friendship that surrounded me there was truly special. The atmosphere was always positive, supportive, and uplifting. Through my years as a student, I gained so much more than just technique—I learned confidence, kindness, independence, and leadership. I earned my black belt at age 11, and soon after began teaching younger students. That experience shaped so much of who I am today. It gave me purpose, discipline, and a deep sense of belonging. Now, about 10 years later, I've come full circle—I’ve signed up my stepdaughter for classes and I want to say this: I have never seen her more still, focused, and engaged than she is during her karate classes. Shes currently being testing for Autism and she struggles with focus, struggles with social interactions but the way the instructors teach, keeps her mind active and present. Normally she’s very shy around other kids, but here, she’s smiling, participating, and clearly having the best time. Huge thanks to Sensei Jeremy—not only for teaching me life skills when I was growing up, but now passing that same positive influence on to my daughter. The instructors here truly care about their students and make sure each one gets the attention and encouragement they need. If you're thinking about enrolling your child in martial arts, I absolutely recommend United Family Martial Arts. It changed my life—and now, I’m watching it change hers.

My son can be shy and has a hard time coming out of his comfort zone and was being bullied at school. He was not interested in any sports at all and had a chance to do a trial at United Family Martial Arts in Chippawa. After one class he was in love. We finally found something he is interested in. We go four times a week now and he is having a blast. He is learning so much and learning to have confidence in himself. Jeremy Elliot and his staff are very nice and amazing people. We highly recommend him and everyone at United. He has many different classes to try as well.

I have been with Jeremy from 1999!! My family have grown up with Martial Arts and fitness with the help of Jeremy. He has always been there and the best was through covid when he did online training and once in person it was family training to keep us all physically and mentally fit. He always reached out on a personal level not just a sensi!
