U-Haul Neighborhood Dealer

This location was absolutely horrible. When I picked up my truck rental the lady at the counter was on her headset, poor customer service skills. Did not talk about anything with myself or my partner. All she said was take a picture of the mileage. Come to find out that they send a text for a picture of the whole truck. When we returned the truck, the worker at the counter was more worried about doing what I assume was an uber order then the whole line up of customers wanting to pay for gas/cash out. Again no one went over charges, and or gave me receipt until I asked for one. Absolutely horrible customer service and communication at the location.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Rented a one day (6 hour truck). Paid a $200 deposit. Took a photo of truck at pick up, for mileage & the gas was half full. As I was walking out the guy said “wait, you have to bring it back at ‘full full’ gas”…. When I got to the truck & saw it was at half, I took a photo & thought, “that’s weird, I’m not gonna bring it back at full”. So I brought it back early (4 hours later) & filled the gas back to half full. The guy told me I owed an “extra $150”. I said, how did you get that math? He said “the system says it”. I showed him the photo at half full & returned at half full & the mileage. Showed him estimated cost on U Haul receipt says $170. Then he said “ok, you owe an extra $27”…. I said you just said $150, now $27, that’s really sketchy. As ppl came in he served them, & I said “don’t rent u hauls from here, this is crazy”. Then he said “ok no problem, you don’t owe”. I feel I overpaid for sure from the beginning, considering I spent $200 + $50 in gas. Please- go to the u haul on welland ave or anywhere else. Full scammers at this location & they shouldn’t be able to operate under U Haul. DONT EVER COME HERE!

The service was extremely disappointing. I paid $162 and some change upfront for a one-day rental. I returned the vehicle on time, and they informed me that I would be reimbursed, leaving me with a $53 charge. However, they don't issue refunds immediately. Instead, I have to wait 3-5 business days to get my money back.

Scammers! Dirty scammers! U-Haul should be ashamed of using this dealer! 4 pics to view before and after return and, haha on you hasty market, refund receipt pic! Charged me for not filling it full when I brought it back full. They wouldn’t even look at the pictures from when I got it and returned it. It says full and yet they charged me. I called customer service, sent them the pictures for proof and they agreed. Full is full as per the contract and they refunded me.Pay for mileage and bring back at same level it went out as, which was full. I will also add, the staff called traffic (U-Haul support for dealers) who also did not verify with pictures that it was in full and were the ones who charged me extra for gas. Never use this dealer. They obviously don’t know full from empty. Being they are a gas station, I feel they are running a scam on this.

Awful place and RUDE, RUDE, RUDE owner. Rented a truck two weeks ago and was given 150 km free then $0.50 after that. Rented one today and was told it was $1.75/km and 0 free kms. I asked what happened to the 150km and was told U-Haul doesn’t do that. Apparently they do because you just did it two weeks ago! When I returned the truck, with the gas tank full, he told me that wasn’t enough, it needed to be “full-full”. If I didn’t have to pickup my kids I would have gone down the street to buy the gas rather than his ripoff establishment. I’ve attached a picture of the tank that I returned it at. The guy who runs it, the owner perhaps, acts like he is bothered by customers. Don’t worry, you won’t will have 1 less from now on.
