I truly love this place as does my mother. Staff are extremely kind. They work so hard there ensuring my mother is well looked after. She states it all the time. Chantelle is her nurse there. Mom just loves her like a daughter. Just to show you how amazing Chantelle is, she brought in mom a pair of anti-slip shoes and came in after hours in her pyjamas because my mom asked for her. Who does that? A kind, sweet, loving individual. Thank you Chantelle and Tufford Manor for all you do for my mom. You guys are truly amazing. Please ensure you give Chantelle a raise and I mean a big one. You don’t want to lose someone like her. All the best.💖 ***This is an update*** My mom passed away at Tufford Manor on the 31 Jan 2026.💔 Prior to that, mom was declining. They wanted to send mom to hospital to get the care she needed. Mom begged us not to send her back to the hospital. St. Catharines General is the worst hospital. Patients are treated worse than animals there. Mom remembered that. We asked the home if mom could stay, they agreed. Last week before mom passed away it was suggested by the Dr. at Tufford to have Mom moved to hospice. My brother, I, Chantelle ( mom’s nurse there) & mom didn’t think it was a good idea. They allowed mom to stay again. Care Partners, Care Coordinator Ms. LaFontaine was in charge of moms PSW care coming in. She refused to bring in extra care for mom. More over they often didn’t show up leaving everything to Tufford Manor. I was really disappointed with this woman and the excuses she made for the no show PSW’s. The ones that showed up, mom loved. They made up for the others. However, Tufford Manor really stepped up where they lacked. Chantelle, Darren, Hannah, and countless others took amazing care of my mom. When I was finally able to get there before mom passed, I asked if I could stay with her and sleep in her room. They did me better. Amy the Director there I believe set me up in a room down the hall from Mom. Not only that, they allowed me to shower and eat for free. After mom passed, they offered me to stay longer until we got things sorted for mom. I didn’t stay after mom passed but the offer was so generous. Listen, I can’t say enough about Amy and the staff there except they are all top notch. They loved my mom and took amazing care of her. Mom loved it there and all of them too. Only complaint I have is, mom needed her feet looked after being diabetic. We had a former PSW come in to do this for mom. We were told Natasha couldn’t come anymore because she wasn’t a licensed foot care nurse. They wanted us to use their nurse at Tufford instead. Her name is LaTeisha. LaTeisha only did mom’s feet once, even after we requested mom’s feet be done every 3 weeks. I understand LaTeisha did this on the side after work. However, she didn’t care for mom’s feet as she needed. If LaTeisha isn’t up for doing residents in your cares feet, you need to bring someone in who is. Sorry but that part was really upsetting and should never have happened. I hope you guys look into that and get something in place for the residents there. At any rate, I still highly recommend this place, as does my family. Thanks again Tufford for everything. I always felt Mom was cared for. It doesn’t get any better than that.

I could not be more grateful for the exceptional care the staff of this facility provided to both my parents. You will be leaving your loved ones in very competent, caring hands.
