We had a fantastic experience at the restaurant at Trius Winery Restaurant. The service was outstanding from start to finish. Ian, the hostess, was amazing and made us feel so welcome the moment we arrived. Chris, our waiter, was exceptional—professional, attentive, and truly made the experience special. The entire team was polished and friendly, and it made for a wonderful visit. Highly recommend dining here when visiting Niagara-on-the-Lake! 🍷✨

We celebrated the last day of the year at Trius Winery & Restaurant, and it was nothing short of magical – the perfect way to ring in the new year! From the moment we arrived, the warm and elegant atmosphere set the tone for an extraordinary evening. The food was absolutely outstanding: every dish was beautifully presented, bursting with fresh, seasonal flavors, and crafted with incredible creativity by Executive Chef Frank Dodd. The locally inspired cuisine truly shone, with perfect execution and thoughtful details that made each course a delight. The wines were exceptional – flawless pairings that elevated the meal to another level. As expected from a pioneering Niagara winery, the selection (including their renowned sparkling and Icewine) was world-class and complemented the food brilliantly. The presentation and service were impeccable: attentive, knowledgeable staff who made us feel truly special on this festive night. The stunning vineyard setting added to the romance and charm. Trius lived up to its reputation as Niagara-on-the-Lake’s only Michelin-recommended restaurant – a memorable, five-star experience from start to finish. Highly recommend for any special occasion. It was a truly one-of-a-kind experience at Trius. I genuinely believe it deserves to be considered a top Michelin-level restaurant. The service was exceptional—the staff were incredibly attentive and seemed to know exactly what we wanted, even though we didn’t speak English. We visited as a group of eight. For starters, some of us ordered the smoked salmon and the mushroom cappuccino. For mains, we had the pork chop, Cornish hen, halibut, and lamb. I highly recommend the lamb tasting, as it was especially memorable. For dessert, we tried the goat cheese, and most of us had the chocolate crémeux bar—both were outstanding. I would absolutely come back and highly recommend giving this place a try. I would like to emphasise on the staffs being extremely nice and friendly.

Our daughter was visiting from Calgary and we spent the day in NOTL. We were hungry but it was 3pm - that lull between lunch & dinner when many restaurants are closed. We drove to Trius, an upscale but relaxed vibe. We were served by Chris who was super helpful & knowledgeable. The food & service was exceptional. We ordered the Jammy Doddger, Mushroom Cappuccino (winner!) and the vodka cured salmon. All 3 of us ordered the lamb. Perfectly prepared! The wine was good, but not exceptional. We would definitely return. Considering this is a Michelin rated restaurant for 2024 & 2025, the price was very reasonable & we felt we got great value.

Today was my third visit, and this place continues to impress. The service was wonderful and the food was just as good. The lunch set is priced very reasonably, which makes the experience even better. I ordered the two course lunch and added the rosemary and sea salt focaccia. The texture of the bread wasn’t my favourite, but the wine butter was fantastic. For my starter, I chose the ice wine beets. It was delicious, with a nice mix of beets and a lovely cranberry compote. My main was the mushroom ravioli. It was flavourful, but the amount of goat cheese and nuts wasn’t ideal for me. The team was very accommodating and offered to switch it to the halibut filet instead. The halibut was great, and the martine potpie on the side was a highlight too especially with its creamy mashed potatoes. Overall, still a great experience and I’ll definitely be back again.
