Travelodge by Wyndham Niagara Falls Fallsview

This hotel is undergoing renovations. Some minor related noise and smells but not an issue for us. Photos are of a non renovated room which we still enjoyed very much. Nicely appointed, spacious King room - plenty of room for 2 guests. Two arm chairs included for conversation / drinks / appies. Chairs were worn out but I appreciated having them. Bed neatly made - mattress needs replacement. Single pane glass windows radiated cool air but thermal drapes and a good heating system kept the room warm. Sliding glass door onto large balcony overlooks the Niagara River and ... with a glance to the right ... the American Falls. Small flat screen tv. Fridge yes. Mike no. Very clean but dated (still nice) bathroom - plenty of towels. Pool was warm, clean and wonderful. Hot Tub removes all life's problems. No restaurant on site or close by. No garage as I read somewhere - park behind the hotel $15/night. Drive to every restaurant imaginable.

We booked a hotel room with a jet tub, but when we arrived, they told us we had booked a regular room without a jet tub. They said if we wanted to move to a room with a jet tub, we had to pay an extra $25. We paid the extra fee and also gave a $100 deposit because it was my boyfriend’s birthday on February 16, so we decided to stay. The next day around 10:30 a.m., I called the receptionist to ask about checkout time. She told me that after 12:00 p.m., they would charge $25 per hour. I fell asleep, and at around 1:22 p.m., the police knocked on our door. They said the receptionist had called them to check on us. And that the tv was loud, and they knocked which was all lies. And they would have had to of called the cops before 1pm for them to have been at our room for just after 1. Cops called our family make them worry. Cause the name Scott telling lies story to them. We spoke to a staff member named Scott. He said he thought we were dead because it was past 12:00 p.m. and we had not confirmed that we were checking out. Dispite myself talking to the receptionist at 10am. But we were clearly still in the room, and the hotel had our $100 deposit. Calling the police on us was disrespectful and unnecessary. The police told us that hotel staff had already gone into our room to check on us. They apologized for the misunderstanding, and said take your time and gather your things, We have stayed many times at hotels and never had something like this happen before . When we went to get our deposit back, they charged us and additional $60 for the hour and a half past check out. A original 95$ one night stay turned into a 200$ dollar ordeal with police called for no good reason, after letting staff know we would be checking out late and yet they still took our deposit and we were harassed. We are very unhappy with how this situation was handled. We felt disrespected and that our privacy was violated.

We had a great experience at this hotel. We specifically asked for an older-style room which featured the beautiful heart-shaped tub. Very few locations in the area have this retro feel anymore, and we hope it stays this way forever! Our room was perfectly clean, and the staff were extremely kind and helpful. Would highly recommend.

We came to this hotel just to check it out, but the service convinced us to book a room right away. We were two adults traveling with a kid, and the experience was great. The hotel is a bit old but very well maintained and clean. Special thanks to Zuni, he was extremely polite, friendly, and helpful, and made us feel very welcome. I usually don’t write reviews, but this place and the customer service truly deserve it. Whenever we come to Niagara Falls again, this will be our first choice.

We liked the location, parking was great but should free. Bed and bedding were good. Cons The termostat didn't work and the room was cold. The shower had no safety grab rail. Fireplace didn't work. Room only had one chair. Carpet was quite worn. There should be two bedside lamps not just one. We stayed 3 nights and had to ask for our room to be made up, the jacuzzi was not cleaned at that time.
