I love it. It’s so calm.

The most annoying thing about living in Smithville is the ridiculous bylaw which prohibits parking on the street from 2:00am - 6:00am throughout the year! This is a crazy and unnecessary bylaw. Smithville is a small town. I could understand this purpose of this bylaw in certain areas of Hamilton or Toronto. Also understandable if this bylaw was enforced from the beginning of December to end of March to allow for snow plowing. This bylaw should be amended to an alternating (1st to 15th & 15th to end) street side parking plan with no street parking durning snow events. I have spoken with so many people in town that feel the same way I do about this bylaw!

Maybe I'm bias, but I love my home and community! It's an excellent place to raise a family, and is the right amount of distance away from the overwhelming feeling you get when working in the city/bigger communities. What we lack in size, we make up with charm & personality. Plus, the little country drive on the way home after a long day of work is very refreshing!
