Town & Country Fish & Chips

I’ve been getting takeout at Town and Country for over 10 years. They’ve been an institution in Grimsby for some 30 years. I’ve never had an issue with the portion size, with the level of service or with the prices. Some people want to pay McDonald’s Filet-O-Fish prices for top quality fresh fish.

Food was absolutely horrible. Fish was so soggy and just breading and barely any fish. Fries were so blande and very dry. For the amount of money we spent we got barely anything. No tartar sauce or anything. Very disappointing and watch the prices don’t add up….will never be going back there again.

Fish and chips were good but expensive for how little is included in the prices. No coleslaw and there Seemed to be little additional charges for everything (tartar etc). It was $120 for 4 people for dinner. We also had a problem with portions. We ordered 3 orders of fries and got one large box? Find it weird to do this instead of giving us individuals. Would be curious to see if there would have been more fries if we got 4 orders…

What an incredible experience we had! Nothing flashy, the fish and chips spoke for themselves. We were offered tons of tartar sauce, at no extra charge, but hardly used any as their batter was fantastic!
