The Sweet Oven Niagara

Great staff, nice place. We bought a 6-pack of butter tarts and ended up throwing 4 of them out. We found them excessively sweet and the pastry was too soft causing them to completely fall apart after a single bite. Definitely will not be back, these are the worst butter tarts I've ever had.

It was unbelievably rich, smooth, and creamy, with the perfect balance of sweetness and texture. You can tell everything here is made with care and passion. Angela, one of the owners, made the experience even better. She was so warm, welcoming, and genuine. The kind of person who makes you feel instantly at home. It’s clear that customer care and quality are at the heart of this business. Beyond the shop, The Sweet Oven Niagara is also a proud part of the community. You can often find them at local markets and events, spreading their love of baking across Niagara. A local gem that truly lives up to the hype.

My wife and I recently purchased a six pack of Sweet Oven butter tarts from a kiosk at the St. Jacob’s Market and I can honestly say, “These were the absolute best butter tarts I’ve ever tasted in my 60 years!” I tried the Skor butter tarts first and thought it was my new favourite until I sampled the plain butter tart … a few minutes later! Incredible! My wife really enjoyed the chocolate chip butter tart as well. We don’t get down to Niagara much any more but I plan to return to the St Jacob’s Market in hopes that they maintain a kiosk there every Saturday! If you haven’t tried these Sweet Oven butter tarts yet, I strongly encourage you to do so. You will not be disappointed!

Just discovered heaven in a butter tart at The Sweet Oven! 🤤 Their Skor butter tarts are absolutely mind-blowing, and don't even get me started on their Skor cheesecake... pure indulgence! The customer service was just as sweet as their treats - absolutely grand! If you're a sweet tooth lover like me, you NEED to try these. Perfect balance of buttery, chocolatey, toffee goodness. Every time I go to a butter tart festival, the Sweet Oven is the first, if not the only stop I'm making. Every single flavour they offer delivers a delicious and soft crust combined with the most flavourful filling I've had anywhere. It's been three years and I'm yet to be disappointed. Even when I've tried a flavour that I didn't expect to enjoy, I've bought it again. If you enjoy butter tarts, I sincerely doubt you'll leave disappointed. I also sincerely doubt you'll eat just one.
