Worst customer service ever! The lady working was so rude to me and my friends. We came in actually looking for something and she said she had it but it would be too expensive for us?? Not a good look… Super unfortunate considering the store is actually really cute.

I spent a decent amount of money at this store yesterday, only to be completely dismissed when I came back to return a pair of earrings that appeared to be broken. The first thing the woman said to me was, "They weren’t broken when I gave them to you," and then immediately pointed to a sign and said, "No Refunds." No greeting, no professionalism — just attitude. When I asked her to reconsider, she turned to another customer, rolled her eyes, and said, "I get this at least once a week." Honestly, if you do get returns that often, maybe it’s time to take a good hard look at your inventory — and your customer service. I then had to ask her to stop speaking about me to another customer — like we were back in high school. It felt like I was being bullied by a mean girl, not helped by a shop owner. When I asked her if she could help me find a different pair of earrings instead, she just gestured broadly and said, "They’re all over the store," with a tone that made it clear I was annoying her just by existing. I wandered around the store for a few minutes trying to find something else — but honestly, I had no trust left in the quality of the products, or the people selling them. She can keep my money if she wants it that bad. There is more to life than money money money. Next time you visit NOTL, do yourself a favor and skip this shop. It’s not worth the hassle, or the attitude.
View on GoogleSad to say this lady is horrible to deal with I have attempted to shop at her store on more than one occasion giving her the benefit of the doubt that people have bad days; but both times I have been there I am made to feel disappointed by her judgy rude attitude that I have chosen to leave and shop elsewhere; it’s shocking that someone who sells such beautiful products that are supposed to make people vibrate higher does not reflect on the seller! Thankfully I have the money to buy these products elsewhere I was trying to support small shops as I love them but in this case I hope this lady finds her Karma losing customers as that’s what seems to be a pattern here from other comments I’ve seen.
View on GoogleI was browsing in this shop today. It was an ok experience until we spoke of the cool shop next door, IrisGaleries. The worker/owner of The Shiny Company had scathing comments to voice and they were absolutely unnecessary and in our opinion quite rude and absolutely unjustified. This will come back to haunt them I'm sure. We had an absolutely great experience at the IrisGalerie and have come home with lovely prints of our eyes! So interesting and a great experience with the employees. Be careful who you grumble to Shiny Company. Karma comes easily to nasty comments like that. You should be ashamed of yourself, especially when you sell products that are supposed to make people feel good about themselves. Unbelievable.
View on GoogleAn amazing selection for EVERYONE!! I'm not educated on any of this at all but the owner Stuart is so kind and patient when it comes to explaining and answering questions. He made me feel so welcome and he had a great sense of humor! Their seasonal Booth at Seaway Mall in Welland is fantastic as well! The one employee I dealt with–Trysha is so good at her job and she was also very patient with me! If I could go beyond a 5 ☆ review I would! (Picture is of just a few of the many things I bought from The Shiny Company)
