A great place to relax overlooking the canal. It's bright & clean. The staff are friendly. The deserts & coffee are good (a little pricey) . They do often run low of goofies late in the day. Overall it makes for a nice break in your day.
View on GoogleWent in to get take out for lunch. The green haired server was so incredibly rude. Spent $75 on two drinks, a salad and a sandwich as well as tipping 20%. Had a lengthy convo with the server about how I don’t eat meat and they were out of the only veg item, they were going to make one of the other salads with no meat. Food took forever. Asked how much longer just to see if we should go for a walk while we wait and the server was even more rude about it. Finally get our food and go home and mine had obviously been made with the chicken on it and then taken off because there were chunks of left over chicken all over it. A lovely waste of $20 since I couldn’t eat anything for lunch and couldn’t leave my guest to drive all the way back. We usually love this spot, and lately all of the staff are so rude when we go in it sucks, it’s ruined something we used to do alll the time. In the summer we would buy baked goods from their tent at the market weekly and loved the woman working there. She is so kind and we always looked forward to seeing her.
View on GoogleWe were just looking for a place to get sweets when we found this cafe with a robust brunch/lunch menu. Very nice comfortable space with friendly staff, fresh food, and a view of the canal. We enjoyed their Valentines special and bought tea and sweets to take home too. Cannot wait to visit again!
View on GoogleI was really disappointed with my recent visit. The staff’s attitude was very poor both at the counter and at the table. Orders were taken in a rushed, unfriendly way, and food and drinks were placed on the table roughly. I ordered a cappuccino and a flat white, and although I was told they could make them, both drinks had no foam at all and tasted terrible. For the high prices, the service and coffee quality were unacceptable. To make things worse, when we were paying, the waitress had forgotten to charge us for one croissant. When I pointed it out, she went back to fix the receipt. When she returned, she laughed and said, “Dude, if you hadn’t told me, you could have gotten it for free,” and laughed it off. I found this comment completely inappropriate and unprofessional. I used to love this café at its previous location, where the service was warm and the coffee was great. Sadly, the experience at this location has gone seriously downhill, and it was extremely disappointing.
View on GoogleWe were very lucky to be able to get a table for the yearly Fa La La Ladies night at Pie Guys. Although it was busy, and staff were busy prepping for the big event, we had great service. The drinks were an art form, as well as tasty. The food was also very good. They have regular dinner and lunch specials, high teas, and so many baked goods. If you haven't stopped by yet, then you should. Erin EnD Adventures
