The Maternity House

Very happy to have found this store. The owner was lovely and made me feel welcome and comfortable. Being plus size I’ve found it next to impossible to find clothing that fit me in a real store so I could try things on but here I did. Even the new stuff had decent pricing which also was a nice surprise. If very much recommend a visit here lots of used in great condition clothing as well.

The hours are constantly changing and the days they are completely closed. It is extremely disappointing as this is the only maternity store in the city. I have multiple screenshots that are timed and dated of fluctuating hours and days closed in the past few weeks as I’ve been trying to go there to shop for a breastfeeding and pumping bra since August 3rd. Delegating being in the NICU for 40 days and having a toddler at home, it is CRUCIAL to look up the business hours for this store as it will most likely be closed, changed hours or had to leave early. I have now HAD to order off Amazon instead of supporting local 👎

This store far exceeded my expectations! They have such a variety of new and used items at reasonable prices. I’ve struggled to find maternity clothes in store to try on, especially size L/XL. I’m glad we happened upon this place while on vacation! The owner was very helpful in suggesting different pieces as well.

I love the Maternity House and can’t recommend it enough! The service was great; the owner was very helpful and remembered me the second time I went. They also had gently used items in great condition at great prices. With many stores moving all their maternity clothes online, it makes a big difference to have a store like The Maternity House where you can shop in person.

Being plus size, I was desperately searching for maternity clothing that would suit my body type. Most of the brick and mortar stores do not carry a maternity section or have the tiniest rack somewhere in the back with very limited sizing and choices. My mom remembered seeing The Maternity House due to their fun and light-hearted breasts poster in the display window. I was weary at first because of the prices and limited selection of what I’d seen so far in other stores were pretty discouraging. The moment we entered the store, we were treated with such a friendly atmosphere. There were a few other people in the store and everyone was laughing and sharing their opinions and ideas with each other. It felt very welcoming. Especially when you’re a plus size person who has no clue what size she is anymore! Not only did they have new items but they also had second hand pieces and their prices were incredibly reasonable and affordable. With the help of the owner (with zero pressure to buy), we ended up finding over a dozen pieces and more. On top of it all, my young son was with us and the owners daughter was also present and they kept each other company while I shopped which also took some stress off of me. Maybe blame the hormones but it was such an stress-free and fun experience. The variety of clothing, the quality and the prices were great. I’m super bummed that I don’t live near the store or I’d be constantly going to replenish my wardrobe! I’m already kicking myself for not buying more!
