The Keg Steakhouse + Bar - St. Catharines

5 stars all round!!! We absolutely love this Keg location as the atmosphere, quality of the food and service just can't be beat! Our server "Sacha" was freindly and professional all while tending to multiple tables at the same time. My prime rib was cooked to perfection as was the classic sirloin. Nothing could have been done any better. It just so happened to be our wedding anniversary and we were treated to our first taste of the Billy Miner Pie! Of all my visits to Keg restaurants througout the country, I had never heard of this delicious dessert. I would return to the Keg for this single item it was so good. Thank you Keg Team for an excellent anniversary dinner experience!

My wife and I decided to celebrate our wedding dinner at The Keg tonight and while our evening began on a very disappointing and uncomfortable note, it was completely transformed thanks to two incredible staff members. Ashley (bar manager) and Chelsey (our server). Without going into details, our initial interactions at the front left us feeling deeply unwelcome and uncomfortable. It was disheartening, especially on such a meaningful night for us. As a same-sex couple celebrating our wedding, it’s never easy to feel anything less than equal, and at the start of the evening, that’s unfortunately how we felt. It was emotional enough that I found myself in tears at the table. My Wife was concerned for me to speak up at the table and was mainly hesitant because we didn't know if it was a safe space , we original were going to call in after the dinner and try to talk to a manager but I had felt so heavy with anxiety I opened up to our server Chelsey immediately to make sure I didnt have that anxiety looming over me all dinner. Chelsey listened and was very apologetic and worked on making sure we were taken care of immediately. She welcomed us warmly, provided attentive and kind service, and made us feel genuinely valued. The food was wonderful, and her professionalism and compassion did not go unnoticed. When we were finishing up, Ashley introduced herself and took the time to truly listen. I shared how heavy the experience had felt and how upsetting it was to feel “less than” on our wedding celebration as I am not use to what unfortunately will become my new normal in some environments. Ashley responded with such professionalism, empathy, and respect. As someone who has worked as a host and server in the past, I understand the industry and the way Ashley handled the situation showed real leadership and care. To our complete surprise, she graciously comped our meal and invited us back. That gesture, combined with the way both she and Chelsey handled everything, completely shifted our perspective. What could have been a night that kept us from ever returning turned into a reminder that there are still people in this industry who truly care. Ashley and Chelsey made us feel safe, valued, and celebrated. They are absolute veterans in hospitality, and we are incredibly grateful for the way they turned our night around. We will absolutely be back soon and we look forward to a fully joyful experience next time. Thank you both for restoring what could have been a very painful memory into a sweet one. 💓

The service was excellent and the food was delicious. We love that calamari for an appetizer. Had to have the lobster with my steak and it was done perfectly. All that said...it is not what I consider amazing value for the money. 10 or 12 oz Sirloin and lobster tail for 75 is steep BUT it was quite good so therein lies the conundrum. Going without a gift card will cost ya a pretty penny but the experience is enjoyable.

I say wow wow what a fantastic experience. My wife took me out for my birthday. The ambiance in this keg was really cool. The food was exceptional. We got the keg special with the wedge salad and the twice baked baked potato with the trimmings mushrooms and vegetables very much enjoyed… Leave the best for last the service was incredible. Our server’s name was Paige page created and fostered a warm welcoming environment. She was professional and friendly and made our experience completely outstanding hats off to page. I never had been here before. My uncle decided to take us here as a family reunion since we haven’t seen each other in about 10 years!!! The food was absolutely fantastic, and the portions were the perfect serving. Most of all, customer service on point!! Never in my years I have seen such great service from a server! she was very lovely and i wish i have gotten her name. Thank you to the Keg for bringing my mother and her brother together, it was sweet and beautiful to see them connect again. 100% coming back.
