The Hope Centre

This place is a joke and act like they want to help then complain about everyone coming through here. The person running the shelter at the travelodge is over the head stressed about everything, let's people stay there when they have a place to go and then tell people who have no where to go good luck in the cold. The government and the higher ups should look into replacing their employees because they truly do not care.

The hope Center is there for getting food an helping people get back on track and there is a lunch window for people to get lunch keep up the great work guys 😊😊

Tried to seek out a temporary place to stay, my landlords son assaults or menaces me when he's in a bad mood, it's a complicated situation and it would be worse for me in the long run if I just abandoned my entire life right now so I'm not ready to fully escape yet, but I needed a safe place to be when he gets like that. The police always take his side because he's the son of the home owner. You don't have rights if you're poor and rent, especially if you are on ODSP or OW in the eyes of the Niagara Regional Police. The call to seek help from here devolved into 2 women passing the phone back and forth and essentially laughing at me and saying things such as "he can just say he wants to move in and evict you that way" (basically giddy at the idea he could renovcit me) or "if he doesn't want you there, why do you stay" (blaming the vicitm, me, for being poor). The only option for me after here is homelessness or jail. One of the most depraved, inhumane and down right disgusting and vile conversations I've ever had to endure with a receptionist for a domestic violence shelter. Don't walk, run away, absolutely do not recommend. Shut it down! I recorded this call, and may add a video of the most depraved parts to my review later.

T'is the season! Donations are Necessary!! Our items were recieved with gratitude and a big smile. We were able to ask some questions about local programs and services, we learned a lot!! What a wonderful community, we are so fortunate to live here! We were also offered a plant cutting! Recommended for anyone who wants to feel closer to the community

This place just dumped someone and all their belongings at the end of my street, to join an encampment. Not sure why you’re encouraging 2 TVs and more to be dumped in a field where there’s already serious issues happening. No consideration for our community or the neighbours cleaning up after your “staff”.
