We stayed this past weekend at the Highlander Inn Hotel in Niagara Falls. The rate was approximately $300 per night, which set certain expectations. While the owner/administrator was polite and welcoming, the condition of the room was extremely disappointing. The room lacked basic cleanliness and comfort. There was no fitted bed sheet, mattress protection, or cover sheet for the comforter. Only one pillow and one towel was provided per person, and the furnishings consisted of just a single chair. The room contained a dirty, unusable jacuzzi and a sink oddly placed within the bedroom area. Essential amenities such as glasses and tissues were not provided. In addition, there was no hot water and the door did not have a secure lock, which raised safety concerns. Overall, the accommodations did not justify the cost and fell far below reasonable standards.

This hotel was disgusting. I stayed in the jacuzzi suite, and it looked like they kicked out a normal tenant for the night. Upon arrival I noticed black mold, and I found the drawers to the entertainment center were full of cat toys. The room was disgusting. On top of this, it is not electronic lock, instead it is a key lock. This was sketchy because the manager warned me to make sure I did not lose the key since he did not have the spare. He said a previous guest ran off with the spare (not scary at all knowing a stranger has a key to my room). On top of this, starting at about 6 a.m. loud music was blaring from one of the other rooms so we couldn't sleep, and couples were shouting at each other in their room. When we arrived we noticed the main office had a pentagram spray painted on the blinds with the words trap underneath. In summation, we got no sleep, were scared for our lives, and would recommend everyone steer clear. Also, the TV only had 4 stations.

Absolutely filthy. The remote was covered in God knows what. There was pubic hair in the bathtub, rings of grime in the tub. Atleast a years worth of dust on the headboard. Boogers rubbed on the bathroom mirror. UNCHANGED LINEN. ( i know this because there was vomit on the bed skirt CRUMBS IN THE BED. Window blinds and screen looks like someone threw a brick through them.. And to top it off there was a bird living in the AC unit. Manager was incredibly rude.. ran and hid in the bathroom and had someone else put me off. Saying he'll be out in 5 minutes. Repeatedly. After half hour. I just went somewhere else. He denied the refund request through hotels.com.. When I called the office from a different number I finally caught him by suprise, and got him on the phone. Where he said absolutely ill approve the refund have them call again. I've have had 3 different hotel.com support agents make attempts to reach him. All of which came back on the line and said there was no answer, or there was an answer and immediately disconnected.. it's been escalated with hotels.com I even went back the next morning to the office being locked and no one providing customer services. I will be going back again tonight to sort this out legally.. or you know however. *Update. After calling from several different numbers.. having someone else call and pretend to want a room and seeing if the manager was there.. I was able to catch the manager with a suprise visit, while I had hotels.com already on the phone. I was able to get refunded for my attempted stay in the atrocity of a "clean room" that should be considered a war crime. The Geneva convention needs to be updated.. I'm not sure I'll ever recover from the trauma I've experienced

INFESTED WHEN BED BUGS we stayed here for a total of 2 hours… the infestation was so bad that they were crawling across the bed and large enough that we could very easily see them. also, the bedding was visibly dirty and stained. 100% do NOT recommend staying here!

Room was disgusting. People were smoking right outside the windows. Smelled like smoke, BO, and mildew. When we arrived the front desk worker was sitting on the couch with his shoes off not paying attention to us. Initially could not get the door to our room open. There was a black layer of grime on the AC unit. When we immediately left they would not offer any compensation. Would not recommend.
