Super 8 by Wyndham Grimsby Ontario

The rooms are not maintained. Broken furniture broken chair and bedside table. Dirty grout in small bathroom. The rooms are very dated though our bed was clean there was an overwhelming smell of bleach. Not enough staff. No one could help us with the broken chair in the room or bring an extra pillow. Constantly running toilet. Lots of noise from the highway. Though it is a smoke free space the first floor smells of cigarette smoke also the elevators. Many people smoke directly outside the front door. The whole place has a desperate feeling...lots of new construction all around the hotel makes me think they will tear it down soon so no money is being put into the space.

Terrible!! Reserved 2 rooms; they only had one reservation!! Told we could check in a bit earlier when we made reservation due to a wedding; our room not ready!! Waited until the clerk found another room that was already cleaned but not the room we booked. Told the girl at desk that I was annoyed......she said I didn't have to be annoyed by my above dissatisfaction?? Rooms are very dated. Only enough room for 1 person in bathroom at a time. Difficult when you have 2 queen size beds in 1 room with more than 1 person trying to get ready to go out. Layer of dust on dresser underneath TV. Layer of dust on top of wall mounted hairdryer. The desk clerk, upon check out, didn't even ask how our stay was. Not very good customer service. Rates are cheap, but I should have paid an extra $35 and stayed at the Casablanca Winery Inn like we did at another wedding. Will not be staying here again.

Overall our stay was a good one. The beds were comfortable, the staff were friendly, and the continental breakfast was plentiful. The carpets were dated and could use to be replaced and maybe updating the bathrooms a bit would be beneficial but did not detract from a 1 night reasonably priced stay. After getting home I saw I had been double charged. The situation was rectified with a phone call and they did apologize. The hotel is beside the highway so provided a convenient location with various dining choices nearby. Would recommend.

We stayed here at the night prior to our Triathlon. The rooms are clean but basic and nice. It was quiet where we were. There was a nice Courtyard to sit outside if you want. Continental breakfast is also provided in the morning which is always a bonus.

Nice and clean. There was a mini fridge in our room but the bathroom was really small. The lady at the front desk, when we arrived, wasn't the best but the rest of the staff was fantastic. Breakfast is included and there is lots of parking.
