Sunrise Inn

Place was decent for the price. We only stayed one night but the room was clean, nice and cold. You can tell they are doing some renovations and have a cleaning lady onsite.

In my opinion, this motel should shut down on multiple hits for health codes. We stayed here as a last resort and we are lucky to only have needed this toom for one night, the rooms themselves I cannot even start on. There's a putrid lingering smell everywhere in these rooms. The smell hits you the second the door is opened and the ac unit carries a worse smell, like something old and moldy. The bathroom, if you can call that a bathroom, was absolutely unusable and nasty. There was MOLD on the ceilings and the toilet and the shower, there was mildew on the tub floor and the shower curtain, and the sink we didn't even want to turn on for fear of the water vapor carrying mold as well. The toilet paper we had been given was whatever was left over from the guests before us, and the towels were stained and covered in hairs and smelly. The beds, genuinely the nastiest beds I have ever seen, they have mold of all colors, spills, stains, so much is wrong with these beds and they stunk. My kids were itchy after sitting on the edges of the bed and we didn't sleep on anything in the room. The outlets have exposed wires and the ac unit is covered in mold and dust and push out a terrible smell we could smell on our 5 hr ride home. The carpets were nasty, leaving so much trash just swept under the bed and left there. The carpet stained the bottoms of our socks just from the first time we had gone into the room, we had to wear sneakers the whole time we were in the room. We had not slept out of disgust and fear as there were people running screaming banging doors and blasting music all night. We sat in the chairs after we had wiped them down and we kept the door open so we could breath in a little easier. My son, after staying in the room for just an hour, complained of chest pains and lightheadedness due to the smell and I'm guessing the mold, and after staying there for 6 hours out of desperation we, my five kids and I, had all felt a shortness of breath and a heavy feeling in our chests. If i was ever left again to need a room out of desperation, I would rather sleep in a parking lot on a cardboard box then ever set foot in this motel again. When I was returning the key, I spoke with the owners and he had told me "yeah, we just bought this property, what can you do? We are trying to fix it." I would say the best thing for this property would be to close down and for a health and safety check to be done. It is comparable to the hotels on Gordon Ramsey hotel hells and the conditions of everything were just absolutely deplorable.

We weren't expecting a lot with what we paid for the weekend. Upon checking in we discovered that there was no toilet paper no towels and only three pillows for two beds. Everything else was okay and when I addressed the issue with the manager he was more than accommodating with supplying us with what we needed and he explained that we were not originally booked in that room and he apologized profusely for it not being ready. This hotel is at the top of Lundy Lane and there are so many unique things there to see it's only a 20-minute walk from the falls and you get to see a lot of history

To be honest. I was worried when looking up all the motels in this area, from the reviews its scary for someone who.... 1. Has never left their city. 2. Has never stayed in a motel. My experience was far above what others are saying. I went out for breakfast and was greeted by staff saying good morning and asking if i needed anything. They said if i did. Feel free to ask. The room was clean. The bed was made. Sheets and towels were clean. The floor was not dirty. I couldnt figure out the bedside lamp for the life of me. I would 100% come back. And recommend to others.

Overall you get what you paid for. Great place for a quick stay. There were some extras (microwave and fridge). The cleanliness of the beds was great, towels were all clean and floors were slightly dirty (I would recommend bringing slippers). Air cooling works extremely well. The room smelt like someone smoked in it. There are stains on the wall. Wifi is really slow, tv doesn’t work. But all these issue were acceptable compared to the price.
