Walk your dogs. Kids can play on the large park. Walk the pathways and watch the wildlife.
View on GoogleWe don't recommend the restaurant/bar. It's a shame as the view and potential to have an enjoyable time is destroyed by poorly cooked food and over priced.
View on GoogleSugarloaf is in a great location, and could really be a gorgeous gem of a marina. At the top of the Welland, it's a great place to stage a start down, or stay the night after a trip up the locks. Unfortunately, recreational boats coming up start the trip at 9am, and often won't get to Sugarloaf until after 7, which is when the staff disappears. We called ahead, so got a slip assignment, which had a boat in it when we got there, so we got into one nearby and asked guys on the dock and it was fine. TONS of weeds, needs to be mowed badly, was a challenge going in, and thought we were going to need a tow to get out in the morning! Call or arrive after 7pm, no one to give slip assignments, no access to bathroom/showers. We got into the showers by the good grace of a regular with a key card. Realizing staffing shortages are a real thing, they could stand to have a someone there till at least a little later...
View on GoogleBeautiful and peaceful place to be Free wifi too! Must visit Haven't try their food truck yet I love it there Sad to see the littering of cigarette butts everywhere Otherwise it's such a great place to be
View on GoogleThis location has a great park for all ages of kids. Washrooms are available during summertime. There is a splash pad for kids and families. There is a bandstand for events and concerts. There is a covered picnic table area in two locations on the property. Excellent walking trails too. Beautiful location for sunrise and sunsets. There is a restaurant in the marina as well.
