We did the Stratus Select Experience and were entirely satisfied with it. Adrian taught us a lot about Stratus' many fine wines. We really enjoyed the delicious red we sampled- the 2020 Petit Verdot in particular. The wines were served with a delicious Canadian Chees and Chucuterie. Stratus is modern and beautiful and their wines are excellent. We really enjoyed the warm and knowlegeable staff here. Took home a few bottles to enjoy at home. Will definitely return here and highly recommend to all.
View on GoogleWe visited Stratus yesterday (Jan 14th,2026) for the first time. The tasting room was not busy, so Alan (Black) took extra special care of us during our 2 hour tasting and back stage tour. Alan was unbelievably generous, charming and knowledgeable. He patiently walked us through a tasting of various reds and whites, before giving us an intimate tour of the facilities. It is the BEST wine tasting we have ever experienced. We will absolutely return and look forward to drinking the outstanding products Stratus is producing. !!!
View on GoogleUnfortunately, I experienced next-level rudeness prior to our Food & Wine Lab, which marred the entire experience for me. I am vegetarian but my husband is not. I made sure to email the winery weeks in advance to explain the situation, and was assured that there would be no problems accommodating my food restrictions. When we were seated at the table, I was given a plate with meat. I pointed out that I had requested a vegetarian plate, and the reaction I received from the sommelier was unbelievable! He got upset with me, telling me it was confusing and essentially reaming me out. Ben went to the next room (small kitchen-like area) to fix me a new plate. I followed him to find out why he was being so rude, and he kept complaining about how confusing it was to prepare two different types of plates for one couple. If he doesn't understand that people in a couple might not eat the same thing, perhaps he's too simple to be in charge of a winery!! But regardless, he should NOT have complained to me about it and made me feel like absolute dirt! He told me I was getting my vegetarian plate so I should just go back to my seat. But like if being told something like that in a rude tone would be acceptable to anyone! I told him it was my birthday so he should perhaps try to be kinder. Instead, he attempted to embarass me in front of the whole group by telling everyone how "special" I was because it's my birthday!! I was so humiliated and upset by his treatment of me that I actually began to cry during the Food & Wine Lab! I don't think anyone but my husband noticed my tears, thankfully, as I tried to hide them behind my long hair. I would NEVER recommend any wine tasting session with Ben. He's a cruel, heartless monster with no class, and no clue what customer service means. It's also ironic that he teaches a Food & Wine Lab yet gets confused by a simple thing like vegetarianism. How unprofessional! However, the rest of the staff were amazing. We got there 30 minutes early and everything was wonderful. Based on the reception we received, we would have thought that the whole experience would have been fantastic, but Ben made sure that wasn't the case.
View on GoogleStratus is another amazing winery in NOTL and always one of our go to spots Their tasting room is very modern, outdoor seating is spacious with great views of their vineyard, knowledgeable staff, and the wines are well crafted, unique, and delicious. Mark helped us on this visit and was fabulous! They specialize in bordeaux style blends and focus on quality small batch production My rating rationale for beer, wine, or spirits: +1 Service +1 Atmosphere/Vibe +1 Taste/Quality (Flavor, aroma, and overall quality of the beverage) +1 Presentation (Glassware, garnishes, and visual appeal of the drinks) +1 Selection/Variety (Range of beer, wine, or spirit options and uniqueness of offerings)
View on GoogleIt was a fabulous moment when I first encountered this vineyard. First, entered this gorgeous building, and the friendly staff ushered me to the tasting venue. Before tasting, he led me to the extensive and almost limitless vineyard to explain the terroir and flavours of the grapes. After that, I took a sip of all the signature 🍇 wines 🍾 which I am sticking around my head of The Red Blend which aged in amphora. It's not soaked yet gushed and popped out long-aged grapes. That was phenomenal. Thank you, Richard!
