If you’re looking for a place that charges dealership prices for dollar-store service, congratulations — you’ve found it. Straightline Automotive is a living example of how not to run a business. Barry, the owner, seems to think yelling replaces customer service. Every conversation feels like you’re interrupting his bad day. Newsflash: customers aren’t punching bags. If you can’t handle talking to people, maybe find someone who can. Maybe get a girlfriend/boyfriend be less angry! The front-office atmosphere? Completely unprofessional — more dressed like a stripclub than a mechanic shop. You’d think walking into an auto shop meant you’d get service; instead, you get side-eyes, sighs, and longing for a beer while waiting for the next act. And the work? A total joke. My car left sounding worse than when I brought it in. I had to take it somewhere else just to have the mess undone — and the new shop couldn’t believe the price I’d been charged for what little was done. Straightline Automotive should rename itself “Crookedline,” because everything about this place bends the definition of quality and honesty. Save your time, money, and sanity — go literally anywhere else.

I was charged for a full safety inspection, which they claimed took two hours of labor, totaling over $240 plus tax. After they found several issues, they quoted me an extremely high price for the repairs. When I told them I would get the work done elsewhere for a better price, they demanded that I pay a second charge for the safety inspection. This is completely unacceptable. They are trying to double-charge customers for a single service. This is a scam and a blatant attempt to rip people off. Steer clear of this place.

My son purchased a car and everything went well. Easy and fast, kind people to deal with. They work with you and get things done. We will be using them also for auto repairs as well.

I brought in my car because the steering wheel was shaking. The mechanics or so call mechanic changed pulley and tensioner, serpentine belt and sway bar. I paid 675.00 and the steering wheel was still shaking. I took it back the following day and they changed wheel bearing and power steering pump drive for another $328.00. After all that the wheel is still shaking. I drove the car for about 30 minutes the following day and I broke down on the highway because the steering pump pipe which they changed the day before broke and spilled steering fluid all over the engine. Because there was no steering fluid in reservoir the steering wheel froze up. I took it to another mechanic who fixed the steering pump, the belt and the tensioner (which was broken because the tensioner was not fitted properly). Again I paid that mechanic 420.00. Guess what after all this, the steering wheel is still shaking. Finally I took the car to a tire shop they switched my winter tire to my summer tires and the problem is solved. It turned out that one of my winter tires was damaged which was causing the steering wheel to shake. It costed me 50.00 to fix the problem. In the end I want to warn everyone NOT to bring their car to Straightline Automotive. They are a bunch of inexperienced mechanics who will create jobs just to take your money.
