Stone Road Grille

Doesn't look like anything from the outside, being in a small strip mall, but we've always had an excellent meal at this fantastic restaurant. Very welcoming, cosy inside, and the food is always amazing and at reasonable prices for what can be described as gourmet, local food.

As an unabashed foodie who has worked as a server at two of northern California's best restaurants, I can safely say that the Stone Road Grille is - by a mile - the best restaurant in the Niagara region. The place has a cool, sophisticated-yet-casual feel that rivals the best bistro in any big city. The menu is seasonal and innovative, the produce is local and meats are sustainably produced, the chef is a genius. An impressive local wine list full of hand-picked gems including wonderful rarities from small, up-and-coming, brilliant producers. And the service is always exceptional (uncommon in this town). The owner, Perry and his staff are genuinely kind; so much so that one is made to feel absolutely special, whether there for the first time or the hundredth. Yes it's small, and yes it's always busy, so book ahead. This place is not to be missed.

Small and terrific. Staff young and attractive and happy. Food terrific. We were here for dinner last year and very much liked it. Now we like it even better. We were a group of 6 and everyone felt the same way. I had a warm beets & carrots salad and then flank steak. Terrific.
