Steele and Clover Public House

Very nice place to have a casual dinner. Atmosphere is really good. Friendly and prompt service. Must stop for anybody visiting Port Colborne

My husband and I went to the Steel and Clover tonight, January 29, 2026. We were greeted by our server shorty after entering! The server was very cordial and pleasant and asked if we wanted to order drinks! We ordered our food and it arrived fairly quickly however the fish was dry and the batter was too crunchy! It wasn’t burnt but just tasted as if cooked from frozen rather than thawing the fish and adding a restaurant made batter! The fries had a spice on them that tasted off! Not sure if the spice was paprika or cayenne but it was not pleasant!

Just ordered take-out for my Fiancee and I, the gentleman who took our order was so kind and up beat! The food was ready in 15 minutes and it was so hot and fresh and an amazing portion for the price - which is impressive because the Bills game was on and my Fiancee said it was so packed in the pub! Most places that busy would be overwhelmed and you’d usually get poor food, service, and portion, but we we’re so happy and pleasantly surprised! Thank you guys so much for a delicious dinner, we’re definitely going to make this our spot and come in sometime! Cheers!

As a realtor I travel all over, got a stunning condo unit to sell right on the Canal here in Port Colborne, decided to check out the local bar. I ordered the Irish stew which I really enjoyed. The bartender was super nice and she was taking her time to chat with the customers. You can tell the locals come here for good food, drinks, and most importantly, for some great company. I paid for an older gentleman’s drinks and he was very appreciative, and wanted to buy me a beer. Great crowd great people. Love the feeling of community and that small town feel. I would recommend this pub if you’re visiting, everyone has a great attitude and everyone is approachable and nice. Enjoy the food and drinks and the people! You’re welcome in advance lol.

We were in the area and this pub came up on Google. Took a chance to visit. So glad we did! Service was excellent and attentive. Loved that we waited for our food. I like a place that makes food to order and not pre packaged! Absolutely everything came out hot and fresh! One of the best fish and chips I’ve had in years. The cooks were awesome with our young niece who couldn’t make her mind up! Thank you! We will definitely be back! Ohhh please grab the butter tarts to go! Wowwwwww!
