I am giving five stars for the location, as it is very convenient and close to Niagara Falls. However, the room we stayed in was not clean, and it appeared that the staff had forgotten about our reservation. We arrived late, and no one seemed concerned or committed to providing good customer service. There was a party taking place in the lobby, and the staff seemed more focused on enjoying the event than assisting us with check‑in. Additionally, the room was not adequately prepared for six guests—we did not have enough toilet paper, and I had to call the front desk to request extra sheets for the pull‑out sofa. It also appeared that the area under the sofas had not been cleaned. The bathroom required more thorough cleaning, and some maintenance work is clearly needed. Overall, while the location is excellent, the cleanliness and service did not meet expectations.

We had an amazing stay at Staybridge Suites St. Catharines. We’ve stayed at many Staybridge hotels before, but this one is truly one of the best. Shortly after checking in and heading out for our tour, our car’s alternator failed and we had to return to the hotel. It was a stressful moment for our family, especially the kids, but the hotel’s welcoming atmosphere and great amenities helped us stay calm and positive. The lobby is beautiful and spotless, and the café shop is a great touch. The entertainment amenities (bowling, arcade, gym, and pool) were fantastic, and the staff there were just as friendly as the rest of the team. Breakfast was excellent with lots of variety. Special thanks to Kate, who was amazing every morning. Front desk staff Kristen and Rob were incredibly welcoming and helpful. Housekeeping staff Debbie and her colleague were wonderful as well. Even when our shower base clogged, maintenance fixed it immediately. This hotel exceeded our expectations in every way. It will definitely be our top choice whenever we’re in the area.

Plenty of parking and a covered area to drop off luggage. Front desk check us in within minutes upon greeting. Mention of the activity avilable on site and hours of operation. Even discussed the complimentary breakfast. Room was fairly modern and decently renovated. Queen beds weren't too soft and pillows provided covered firm and soft. Washroom is a bit tight with the spacing and I think they use body wash as hand soap equivalent? Would prefer a sanitizing hand soap foam. Kitchen could use more garbage bags are none were provided. Also didnt see a scissor? Not sure if the patron previously took the coffee filter or none was provided. Everything else was ok. Attached restaurant was great. Continental breakfast was the typical holiday Inn as part of ihg. The dining area was very clean but a bit small as there was only 5 or 6 tables. Bowling alley was a plus. 3 people 1 hour lane with shoe rental works out to be just under $80 tax included. Book ahead as they can be busy till 9 pm as they are open till 1 am. Overall a good hotel for the price. Ps the coffee shop offer starbucks level coffee so lessen the need to drive out.

NOT PET FRIENDLY. Our almost 16-year-old pup was with us all day, so we decided to give her a rest back at the hotel in the evening. It was about 45 minutes after we left, that we got a call from the front desk, telling us that our dog had been "barking all day." My husband tried to explain to the front desk agent that she hadn't been there all day and that we not only had pictures with time stamps but also a tracker with her number of active minutes for the day that they could see, however they insisted that we had to come back or they'd call animal control. Upon returning as fast as we could, we spoke to the manager, who told us that "all day" was a play on words, and that calling animal control is "for the welfare of the animal." I'm not sure about those of you reading this, but when I think of animal control, I think dog catcher or euthanasia, not welfare of my pup. After this happened, we went out of our way to not give any more money to the hotel. The only staff member that we found welcoming was Heather in the dining room. The rest of the staff were rude, cold, and didn't seem to want to talk to you. The elevators were extremely slow, and one of them was broken half the time and the TVs were also not working. Breakfast is the same everyday, so I hope you like the same thing all the time. In conclusion, find a different hotel!
