Thank you for your response. I fully understand that your clinic follows the guidelines established by the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario, and I respect the importance of patient safety. However, global medical standards continue to evolve, and current international recommendations — including those from the American Heart Association (2007) and later European protocols — no longer require antibiotics or mandatory medical clearance before a routine professional dental cleaning. We completed the medical history form several days before the appointment. If your team had reviewed it in advance and informed us that a doctor’s note was required, we would have come fully prepared. Had we known about this requirement in advance, we would have provided the doctor’s note immediately and completed everything we had planned in one visit. We have had professional dental cleanings multiple times in Europe, and no clinic there has ever required such confirmation, as international protocols have been updated. I also want to emphasize that we have no complaints about your clinic regarding cleanliness, service, or X-rays — all of these we found excellent. My concern is simply that communication could show more respect for patients’ time. It would be beneficial for dental practices in Ontario to stay aware of modern global standards, as this helps prevent unnecessary delays for families. For us, this situation resulted not only in financial losses, but also in lost time and emotional stress. I hope this feedback helps improve communication and the overall patient experience in the future.
View on GoogleI wanted to take a moment to share how grateful I am for the care and kindness we received from this practice. Following a dental concern that arose after hours, Dr. Clark was incredibly reassuring and responsive, and helped guide us toward next steps. Thanks to his coordination, we were able to be seen promptly the very next day at his wife’s practice in St. Catharines especially impressive given how close it was to the holidays. From the moment we walked through the door, the experience was outstanding. The receptionist greeted my son warmly and personally, immediately putting him at ease. That level of attentiveness and genuine care is something you don’t encounter often, and it made a world of difference for a child who was understandably nervous. The entire team from reception to the hygienist to the dentist, was kind, patient, and welcoming. My son felt comfortable throughout his visit, even during his first set of X-rays, and the little thoughtful touches along the way did not go unnoticed. We left with a clear plan moving forward and, most importantly, a sense of relief and trust. I’m truly thankful for the compassion, professionalism, and seamless care we experienced, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this practice to other families.
View on GoogleDr Rebecca has been such a gem for our family. One of my kids needed several appointments to complete dental work over the past couple of months. Dr Rebecca made sure she was personally available for her to alleviate her anxiety over the process, and made her feel comfortable and at-ease each time. The other kid had some issues with an appliance (at no fault of hers or anyone at her office) and Dr Rebecca made sure it was replaced and re-fitted at no extra cost. She had gone above and beyond in my opinion - from fitting in last minute appointments for a family member in substantial tooth pain, to accommodating a couple of last minute requests for appointment changes. Highly recommend.
View on GoogleDr. Rebecca is truly the best dentist there is - kind, compassionate, gentle and incredibly talented. I had chipped a tooth and she got in me in quickly and fixed it in 20 minutes. It’s absolutely perfect. Forever a fan and client of hers!
View on GoogleWe used to go to this dental office, i started there when i was 15, with Dr. McKenzie. He and his staff of hygenists and admin were fantastic! When he retired and sold, things went downhill. I was always waiting to get in to my appointment, the hygenists have so many patients at one time. The costs have risen dramatically (2019 was just shy of $1000 for three fillings for our daughters). I walked out that day and never returned. Best decision ever. I found the office to be money focused, and poor time management with squeezing in so many patients at once. It was definitely not the experience we had been having with the office until John retired and sold. 1/5 do not recommend, would give a zero but it's not an option.
