Sportech Sails Ltd

Over the recent few years Sportech Sails Ltd. has done a wonderful job making the dodger, bimini, and enclosure for our 26 Nonsuch. They have also created a “Happy Pac” for the relatively large sail and through Jaime’s suggestion replaced the sail track with the “Tides Marine System” greatly improving how the sail goes up and down. Most recently Sportech has created new cockpit cushions that match well with our other canvass. Many thanks to Jaime and the staff for all their hard work.

Jamie & the crew at Sportech Sails have made my life onboard infinitely safer, easier, and more comfortable than it would have been otherwise. Their work isn’t inexpensive, but it has more than paid for itself at every step of my journey beginning the minute the work was done. Jamie, with his extensive sailing experience, immediately noticed a dysfunctional reefing system in the mainsail. He helped me set up an in-cockpit reefing system which I have been exceedingly grateful for ever since. The “Happy Pack” they made for my boat is incredible, especially as a single handed sailor. Because I am headed on a number of significant ocean passages, Jamie fit me into a crowded schedule to make sure I’d have a dodger for my journey. The dodger they made has been an absolute godsend! That, combined with the cockpit lee cloths, have provided incredible protection in heavy weather and large seas. A dodger extension has made life living aboard exponentially more comfortable every time I’ve been docked. The additional cover over the front hatch allows airflow throughout the boat. I can’t imagine spending the upcoming year in tropical climates without the custom canvas work Sportech made for my boat. I can’t imagine there’s a better place for canvas work anywhere. These guys are unbeatable. I couldn’t recommend them, or their work more highly. They weren’t cheap, but their work has paid for itself every single day since it was done. I give them an A++ for everything. Thank you Jamie & Sportech!!!

We had Jaime build us a new dodger and Bimini for our Nonsuch 30. He booked us for most of a week at Niagara on the Lake so that he could come to the boat daily to measure, fit and install each element. We followed up several months later with full enclosure panels. We are very pleased with the care and experience that went into custom tailoring our canvas.

Jamie from Sportech Sails created a Bimini, Dodge and Happy Pack sail cover for our Tanzer 31. We are very happy with the final product. The installation was completed on schedule, as quoted and exceeded our exceptions.
