Sport Chek

I love Sport Chek, support any chance i can, spent thousands of dollars over years and years, this review is in regards to the bowling lanes that have been built Above the store which now makes for a Very Uncomfortable shopping experience to have to listen to those loud Bangs over and over. The most unfortunate part is that im pretty sure Sport Chek had zero say in this new addition above them. Building a Bowling Alley above ANYTHING is the dumbest idea ever, and its very unfortunate that the Pen Centre prioritized money/rent payments over customer experience. At the very least, the bowling lanes could have been built above the mall Hallway instead of the store.

I had an outstanding experience at Sport Chek thanks to TJ, the manager who helped me with a significant purchase yesterday. In a time when genuine customer service feels rare, TJ was a standout. I was raised in era where customer service was of the upmost importance. So I really appreciate it when it's not only acceptable, but exceptional. He was incredibly patient, extremely knowledgeable, and took a lot of time to walk me through my options without ever making me feel rushed or pressured. He answered every question thoroughly, offered honest input, and went above and beyond to make sure I was confident in my decision. You can tell he genuinely cares about his customers and takes pride in what he does, something you don’t see enough of anymore. This was old-school, top-tier customer service, and it made a big difference. Huge thanks to TJ and the team. Because of him, I’ll absolutely be coming back and recommending this location to others.

TJ here is absolutely great to deal with! He went out of his way to pickup a specific size Blue Jays Jersey at the Welland store and bring it back to his store the next day! Will plan on doing any sports shopping at this store in the future. Thanks TJ.

We went to buy ice skates for our twin sons on Saturday. Honestly, we had no idea what we needed. Jordan was incredibly helpful. He didn’t try to sell us the most expensive things but clearly explained what we actually needed. Thanks to him, my sons now want to go skating every day, not just during their lessons. Thank you so much, Jordan — whenever we need new equipment, you’ll always be our first choice.

I had an amazing experience at SportChek thanks to Jordan, who helped me pick out the right skates and hockey stick for my daughter. As a parent with very little knowledge about hockey gear and buying for the first time, I truly appreciated how knowledgeable and customer-focused he was. Jordan took the time to explain everything I needed to know, from finding the perfect skate size to figuring out whether my daughter was a leftie or rightie. He even taped her stick, explaining why it’s important and how it helps as she learns. He went above and beyond to make sure we left confident and well-informed. My daughter came out of the store more excited and confident than ever to start playing. Thank you, Jordan, for making the whole experience so smooth and enjoyable!
