Shoppers Drug Mart

I was at the pharmacy and spent a small fortune for the second time that week at this shoppers. We stayed at the pharmacy the entire time. On our way out we were stopped and accused of stealing a stuffed animal. Even after showing everything in the bag plus the receipts their "Security" who was sent from Corporate still didn't let us go even though we provided proof of everything. When the person I was with walked away to their car and was extremely upset and said a swear word as they got in their car, the security guard tried to go after them, stating swearing wasn't allowed and that even though this person was now on private property and had every right to free speech, the security guard stated that the free speech was not allowed. At no point did we leave the pharmacy. When we tried to call the manager we got a supervisor who refused to talk to us about their employee acosting us. We have been going to this shoppers for years! We have a great relationship with the pharmacy. We are in there very frequently as shoppers and for the pharmacy. This was wrong and wasn't handled correctly as the supervisor refused to talk about what happened or return phone calls. If they were to check the security tapes it's undeniable what happened yet no accountability from managers or owner to apologize for their disgusting actions made by "security" the same security that was not upholding the law. The owner or managers should have dealt with this issue. This shoppers store, excluding the pharmacy is extremely problematic and if they are going to allow security to run the store like we are under Marshall law then next time I'll be calling the police myself since they are not upholding the actual law. The managers and supervisors need changing. They don't even have anyone on cash. It's self checkout always. Which we didn't use as we paid for every purchase at the pharmacy and tried to leave. We showed receipts, we showed everything in our bags and that wasn't enough? Check the cameras because it would show everything. Also this is still Canada. Free speech does still exist and their temporary foreign worker security guard should be reminded of that. I wish the pharmacy was entirely separate from the store. The store part of shoppers is absolutely horrible and should be ashamed of themselves. This isn't the first time their front of the house staff has been rude. It's a shoppers drug mart! You're not important. Anyone can do your job and I think hiring new management and supervisors should be considered. Why would I spend hundreds of dollars at the pharmacy, thousands upon thousands of dollars per year at the pharmacy, in addition to things I pick up at shoppers while I'm there and steal a stuffed animal? We are two grown ups. We showed proof. There was no need for this to be this way. It directly effects the pharmacy as now I'm considering a new pharmacy since the manager couldn't be bothered to call and apologize. I don't want to change pharmacies but I can't justify the sheer ignorance of the store staff, including management. Again, the pharmacy staff is good. I have a great relationship with the pharmacy team. It's really disappointing.

I go to this location quite a bit but I'm not at all impressed with my last visit and I probably won't be buying from them anymore. I got an electronic drum set for my son that I'd been looking at since last year. Last year I noticed it went on sale and took a picture. This year I seen the same drum set I seen last year the box was even ripped in the same places so I bought it. I got it home opened it and tried to power it on nothing happened. I go to open the battery compartment and all 6 AA batteries had exploded causing corrosion it's obvious that this drum set has been sitting on the self for YEARS the employee tried telling me they just got it which is complete BS it was dusty and as I said I took a picture of it last year. Anyways I went and got a refund hoping it goes through since it was purchased on visa gift cards and I don't want to deal with anymore issues. I cannot believe they would keep these products on the self and sell them in this condition. They didn't even offer me any compensation for my trouble since I'm in a wheelchair it's difficult for me to lug around such a huge item

I’m writing to express serious concern regarding an unpleasant experience with one of your employees named Alexandria. My family and I have been loyal customers for over two years, purchasing nearly $4,000 worth of perfumes during that time. Unfortunately, during our recent visit, this employee displayed a rude and dismissive attitude that made us feel unwelcome and disrespected. What concerned us most was that her tone and behavior appeared biased and discriminatory, which is deeply disappointing given our long-standing relationship with your store. We expect and deserve to be treated with courtesy and fairness, regardless of who we are. I hope management will review this incident seriously and take appropriate steps to ensure all customers receive respectful service in the future.

I had made an appointment for their minor illness assessment thinking it would be easier and quick at 9AM but no. I waited 40 mins for assessment and more than an hour to get meds. I'd rather go on a walk-in clinic if i had known waiting times are like this. The staff doesn't even know the system and process.

I've been dealing with this location for a long time.And i've never had an issue with my medications being mixed up or confused like I had with previous places. The pharmacists are always very helpful with suggestions or concerns about medication.Which makes me feel safe. The lady's up at cash are always friendly. And very knowledgeable about the points program which is rare cuz a lot of stores don't know a lot about their own programs, which is sad. Great job shoppers keep it going
