One of the only pharmacies in Port Colborne that is open until 10:00pm , most of the day. This hours has been a life saver for me when sudden visits to Port Colborne's Urgent Care. Located on Clarence Street on the northwest of Catherine, the corner entrance leads you directly into the Cosmetic section. The Cosmetic Staff are always warm and friendly an often greet patrons by their first name. It is not uncommon to see a quick conversation getting caught up on each others lives. The isles are kept neat and well stocked and staff goes out of their way to make it a pleasant shopping experience. I am not a fan of "Big Box Stores". They are usually cold and unfriendly. This is not my experience with this Shoppers Drugmart. I have been using the pharmacy for twenty years now and had several health challenges with myself and family. The pharmacists, has caught conficts with medications and reported it to my GP right away. I have depended on the Shoppers Pharmacy Team to help me manage my families health care. They have always been top notch with that aspect of our care. This Shoppers Drugmart has a decent grocery section. Great for last minute things when the grocery stores are close. They are my go to for eggs, milk, and sodas for the family. With the PC Optimum Program. Shopping at this location has been a great benefit in saving money. With the good, there is alway some bad. I am not a fan of Loblaws, the parent company of Shoppers. They have a 416 outlook on how their stores should be run. It puts the Associates of the Shoppers at a disadvantage in the Southern Niagara Region. Where small town values, luckily is still expected. Not the fast pace, "You are just a number..." attitude of the big cities. That being said, I am not a fan of the self check outs, where I get the impression that Loblaws is pushing these machines in the wrong demographics. That is all I will say about that. The staff is amazingly helpful and managers was able to process returns and void in a timely manner. The store is always clean and kept in an orderly manner. So to sum things up about this Shoppers Drugmart. Pros: Friendly staff, knowledgeable Cosmetics, and top tier pharmacy department. One of the only pharmacies at is open later than our Urgent Care, and clean and friendly store. Cons: Not a fan of Loblaws push of Self Check outs, because they are open late, you might have to deal with savoury characters that cause trouble, and parking is limited street parking. If there is something happening at the Legion, which is across the street. Good luck finding parking close by.

9:30am, six people standing outside freezing, waiting for Shoppers to unlock the inside door. Lady comes out and says they aren't opening until at least 10:30 as there is no pharmacist. Not one person in line was waiting for a prescription or a pharmacist. There were multiple workers inside though. So a billion dollar corporation is shut down because one person doesn't show up for work. Over an hour and a half minimum before they open.. There should always be a backup. If this were to happen at my employment I'd be fired.

I would give 0 stars if I could. Will never be getting my flu shot there again. Made me go through a med check that I never asked for and preceded to give me advice contradictory to my Specialist and GP. Acted as if she was my doctor. Would move my prescriptions if I could find a pharmacy with better hours. Maybe I'll just move them anyways.
