I love the self checkout. I was in a rush and I was in, found what I came for and checked out in probably 3 mins. That's my kind of shopping
View on GoogleReally disappointed with our experience at this Shoppers branch. We went in to ask for a passport photo for our 2-month-old baby and I specifically asked the associate twice if they do baby passport photos. She said yes, but told us to come back in 25 minutes because the person who handles baby photos was on break. We waited and drove back, only to be told by the next staff member that they actually don’t do passport photos for babies that young. It was frustrating because we could have saved the trip if we were given the correct info from the start. What made it worse was the lack of apology or empathy — the response felt cold and dismissive, like it was no big deal that our time and effort were wasted. On a positive note, we tried another branch on Victoria Avenue and had the complete opposite experience. The associate there was incredibly helpful and tried his best to accommodate us even though it was close to closing time. Huge appreciation to him — that’s what good customer service looks like.
View on GoogleI got worse experience today while went to purchase some beauty products for the customer. I couldn’t find some items so I informed to the cashier about it. So she informed to the shop staff named Ann to help me about it. I requested her to help me to find the item. But she replied me rudely that she don’t know about them and told me to find by my self. Very unprofessional and noncooperative nature. The management should take necessary actions to maintain the reputation of the shoppers drug mart.
View on GoogleI have used this store several times and love that it is open 24 hrs. Front staff are often absent, slow, or inexperienced and, as a former employee of SDM from many years ago, not up to the standard SDM demands, but they are friendly and possibly just need more training or awareness. My review will be of the pharmacy but I will note that on leaving the store, if not for self check out I have no idea how we would have or how long it would have taken as it is the 3rd time we have been recently with absolutely no one even seen in the front of the store (aside from security). We did have to wait for the Pharmacist as he was on the phone dealing with a order, which to me is totally understandable and expected so we didn't mind waiting (wasnt a long wait, maybe 5 mins). I had just come from waiting in the hospital 6 1/2 hrs for chemical inhalation & ingestion from a punctured freon line with direct blast to face. I went in with numb left side of face, nausea, palpitations, tremors, and dizziness. As I sat there, in the next 2 hrs I developed a severe headache, difficulty swallowing, tightness of chest, runny nose and a rash along the collarbone. Reporting these symptoms, as told to do, no one checked on me at all. Another 2 hrs later we saw Dr Strobble and, while he said he would do a xray, when I asked if he would prescribed antinauseant, anti-inflammatory, and puffer he said "no you just need a weeks rest, maybe an antinauseant but mainly it will just take time." After 30 minutes waiting for an xray (told it was busy but I looked at the empty dark ER xray room the whole time), I signed myself out with no objection but agreeance from the Dr. When I told this to the Pharmacist he advised me to use the puffers I had for my asthma, suggested a specific type of gravol to ease my nausea, & suggested an anti-inflammatory to use. He even suggested a cream to help ease the discomfort of the rash. All things I expected from having dealt with chemicals before but the Dr refused. He asked if i had taken an antihistamine right away and i said no i just followed the air out home & self, change clothes, flush exposed skin & the hospital gave me nothing at all when i got there within 20 minutes. He seemed surprised at this and mentioned if I did experience any allergy like symptoms to take an antihistamines. Low and behold 20 mins later I started sneezing continuously and so took one. Almost immediately after taking my puffer my chest pressure eased, my kids noticed the difference in my cough, taking the time released gravol my nausea went away, and so on with the remaining symptoms treated. It is day 2 and I still have a cough and slight rash but I hate to think what damage would have been done if I had not had this kind gentleman's help. Pharmacist are educated people in regard to medications and are capable of suggesting helpful options for the treatment of many issues. Glad to have had timely access to this person at 4:30 am when time is a factor for treatment and proper healing to avoid potential future complications. Very grateful!
View on GoogleI had to use their pharmacy as I was at the hospital with my son on a Sunday (the hospitals pharmacy closes at 11 am !!!) Service with a smile was quick, 15 minute wait. The unpleasant part was with the cashier. I wanted to purchase a massager, all the boxes on the display shelf had a label stating it was an empty box, to be brought to cashier. I found out that another customer had just brought her the same box and that they were out of stock! Well okay, and oh well, out of luck, it happens. So the problem was that she tells me that I must walk from the front all the way to the back of the store and put the box back on the shelf. I don't see the logic behind this if one is not taking names & phone numbers to notify it being back in stock. By this time the lineup was growing impatient, I was complaining out loud, to & from the back about how it didn't make any sense to put box back, I assumed she was flustered at that as she then told me if same situation were to happen again, I should just tell her no!!! I don't think I should have been told to do that in the first place. Isn't that what they hire shelf- stocker for ?
