Clean and organized, but missing price tags This Shoppers Drug Mart on Montrose is clean, well organized, and easy to walk through. The store itself is nice and tidy. However, the main issue I noticed is that many products did not have price tags. I tried checking other items as well, and several of them were also missing their prices, which made shopping a bit inconvenient. Overall, a good store, but clearer pricing would really improve the experience

Honestly, this is the best location in Niagara Falls. Sama never fails to make my small trips feel so special—she’s always so kind, helpful, and welcoming. Every time I come here, the experience is amazing, and a big part of that is because of her. She truly makes each visit memorable and enjoyable. I always leave happy and excited to come back!

Cashier refused to check me out unless I paid cash. I had a BUNCH of items, over 35 and did not want to do self checkout with that many and did not have cash on me. I had asked nicely and she said you can use the self check and walked away. Next time I will just walk out with my items, shame on your shoppers.

Urgent Reform Needed Regarding Gift Card Security and Fraud Protection To the Executive Leadership Team at Loblaw Companies Ltd. / Shoppers Drug Mart: I am writing to express deep concern regarding the recurring gift card fraud occurring at your retail locations. After reviewing numerous customer experiences, it is clear that your current security protocols are insufficient to protect your shoppers. The core issues that must be addressed are: Vulnerable Displays: Gift cards remain on open-access racks where they are easily tampered with by scammers (barcode swapping or PIN harvesting). Lack of Retailer Responsibility: When a customer buys a fraudulent card, store managers frequently refuse refunds, claiming it is "out of their hands" and directing victims to the card issuer (Google, Apple, etc.), who often provide no recourse. Inadequate Staff Training: Store teams are not consistently verifying that the card being scanned matches the receipt or checking for physical tampering at the point of sale. The Changes Needed Immediately: Move Cards Behind the Counter: High-value gift cards (especially Google Play, Apple, and Prepaid Visas) should be stored behind the till or in locked cabinets—not on the open floor. Point-of-Sale Verification: Implement a system where cashiers must scan the card’s internal serial number to match it with the activation barcode to ensure no stickers have been applied. Refund Integrity: Shoppers Drug Mart must take ownership of the transaction. If a card is sold with a zero balance due to in-store tampering, the burden of proof and recovery should not fall solely on the customer. Your customers trust your brand for reliability and safety. Currently, that trust is being eroded by a "not our problem" approach to gift card security. We look forward to seeing concrete steps taken to protect your community from these professional theft rings.

Dear Store Manager or Customer Service Team at Shoppers Drug Mart I’m writing to share some feedback about a couple of recent visits to your store at 5125 Montrose RD, Niagara Falls . On two separate occasions, I noticed a pattern that made me uncomfortable and that I think points to a need for better training on diversity and avoiding bias. On my first visit, an older white cashier watched me closely while I was at self-checkout, even though there was no one else. When a white customer arrived after me, that cashier stopped watching altogether. Today, I experienced something similar. Two Indian employees were at the registers, and one of them kept an eye on me while I checked out. But as soon as I left, they didn’t do the same for the next customer. I don’t know if your store makes it a habit to watch Black customers more closely, but it certainly feels that way. I’ve attached my receipt from today to show I paid for my items. I hope you’ll consider this feedback and ensure all customers are treated equally and that staff are trained to avoid this kind of bias. Thank you for your attention.
