As always. Dave and his guys treat their customer with care, humour and knowledge. They were so very helpful.
View on GoogleIf you build it, you need to go here. This is a place where customer service still exists! These people know what they are talking about! No wonder they have been around over 200 years. Plus it smells way better than those other home improvement places.
View on GoogleI like to shop local and support the small community I live in but never again will they get my business. When I purchased kitchen cabinets from the store they were amazing from picking to paying final payment. I was told they would deliver and also stated they put a note down for delivery that there was no help at location for delivery. I am a single women. When they arrived they were rude, ignorant men!! They stated they would not put in the door way of sunroom. Litterly 5 feet so the cabinets would not get damaged . They left them like that, and had unwrapped to make it worse. So needless to say they are marked up. Not even a box under them just left on wet concrete. the one man even suggested that they move back a few feet and the others stated "no way". Horrible not able to attached pic but so disappointed!!!
View on GoogleI give this store one star because the tool they sell is pricey and can only be used once. Also I asked for an exchange because I bought the wrong tool but I was denied. They would rather lose a consistent spending customer than bending their policy to facilitate one. I also never feel welcome at this store. It could be the color of my skin. Not a lot of my type of people live in this area. Lots of covert racism exists in Port Colborne.
View on GoogleI've never purchased lumber before but needed some plywood for a project. The lady at the counter (white/blond hair, shorter) was less than helpful. She treated me like an idiot - and in regards to purchasing lumber, I am inexperienced - but I expected someone to help me, not make me feel like a dumbass. She kept staring at me, waiting for me to give information that I didn't even know I should be asking for, and heaven forbid I ask an apparently stupid question! I even admitted I didn't know what I was doing at the beginning, but all my experience in all other avenues of life counted for nothing because I don't know all the different thicknesses that plywood comes in. Finally another guy behind the counter watching our interaction took mercy on me and talked me through my purchase. He was very helpful and he was the only reason I still considered spending my money there. That lady should not be behind the counter. Inexperienced people buy lumber too and if you don't want their money - keep being a stuck up tool. When I called to confirm the delivery date the woman on the phone was rude too. Not sure it was the same woman. I asked her to call before they came out to deliver because it's a big fenced off property, but they didn't. It was lucky someone was around since they couldn't even give me a time range (e.g. 2-5pm), someone was just supposed to wait around from 9-5:30pm I guess. Most likely won't be going back there.
