Sheikh's Steakhouse

As an expert on food, this place is a huge disappointment. You probably seen the food reviews, but they are lying to you. The atmosphere is fine dining. However, once you really start to observe at those micro details, you notice the plates and glass are not clean. The salt is clumpy. The service is lackluster. Despite all this, we still had hope for the food and particularly the steak. The entrées are served with a measly scoop of potatoes and vegetables that are terribly undercooked and not worthwhile. The steak was terrible. It’s a low quality cut of meat. I’ve easily had homemade steak better than this place. It’s very chewy fatty and we had to ask for it to be cooked right. The service was very slow. They didn’t even ask to refill our water. Honestly, I would not suggest this place if you seriously want a decent meal. It’s overpriced and only for a show. It’s a completely empty shell of a restaurant. I will not be surprised if they go under in a couple months.

Last weekend, during a snowstorm, our family decided to treat ourselves to steak and chose Sheikh Steakhouse in Niagara Falls, which we discovered through the MunchHalal Instagram channel for their hand-slaughtered halal steaks. Despite the weather, there was no wait, and we were seated comfortably. The ambience was warm, calm, and tastefully elegant, making it a great spot for a relaxed family dinner. For the kids, we ordered a cheeseburger platter and penne Bolognese. The burger patty was thick and juicy, served with generous, homemade-style fries. The pasta was light on sauce, but the staff gladly provided extra white sauce on the side. For mains, we had the Delmonico ribeye with shrimp and lobster tail and the rack of lamb, both cooked medium and incredibly tender and juicy. The ribeye was served on a creamy sauce base, while the lamb rack came with a flavorful green chutney on the side. Roasted and mashed potatoes stood out among the sides. A special mention: the restaurant provides prayer mats and a secluded prayer area upstairs, leaving no excuse to miss prayers, an appreciated touch. Service was attentive, and our freshly prepared food arrived in under 20 minutes. Overall, an excellent experience and definitely a great family-friendly halal steakhouse.

Cozy , friendly staff, service was excellent , the calamari was a little oily for a high end restaurant. The steak was a little over cooked. The dessert was the best.

The food was fantastic! We had the Delmonico steak with jumbo shrimp, and the Penne Pollo Pesto pasta. Everything tasted delicious and was well made, not sure where the negative reviews are coming from. Taras was our server and he was incredibly kind and hospitable, very accommodating and even surprised us with a complimentary dessert as my husband and I came to celebrate our anniversary. Highly recommend this restaurant, we will definitely be returning and hope to be served by Taras again!

Thoroughly enjoyed my experience at Sheikhs Steakhouse! Right in the heart of Niagara Falls! Vintage vibe and very professional service! But let’s get to the food. I genuinely thought everything was excellent. You don’t see fully halal steakhouses that produce this quality of food. The pastas were all made in house and the sauces coated the pasta really well. Appetizers were well prepared as well. Mocktails and dessert also did not disappoint. Now the steak. Temperature was perfect, sauce complimented everything well. Filet mignon was crazy soft and New York was nice. Lamb chops were perfect and ribs were solid. This is a great spot near the falls for Muslim families. Very welcoming staff and just an overall Excellent experience. I’ll be back.
