I’ve been coming to Scott’s Automotive for the past couple of years & they always exceed my expectations. Scott is honest & gives solid professional advice & recommendations. They consistently do quality work/service. And Brandy is very friendly & helpful whenever I visit. I would highly recommend this shop to everyone in the St Catherines area.

I had an outstanding experience with Scott’s Automotive. Scott and Brandy took the time to really listen to what I’d been told by another mechanic and understood my hesitation about investing in repairs on an older vehicle. My car is a 20-year-old diesel Jetta that has been well maintained. I was previously told by another mechanic that the turbo actuator needed to be replaced, but that the part couldn’t be sourced on its own and I’d need a full Borg Warner turbo instead. He originally quoted this at $3,000 for the part plus about $2,000 for labor. When I hesitated they brought the price down to $2,500 for the full turbo plus labor. Even after a price reduction, I felt it was still a massive repair for an older car. At Scott’s Automotive, the mechanics thoroughly tested everything. They found that the turbo actuator was actually working smoothly. The real issue turned out to be a split vacuum line that wasn’t holding vacuum. The total cost for everything $407!!!! The car is running great now, and I can’t thank the team enough. Scott’s Automotive is honest, knowledgeable, and truly looks out for their customers. I’ll be telling everyone I know about them.

Scott and his team promptly put the vehicle on a hoist, assessed the issue, made an adjustment, and explained what was going on. When I asked what it would cost, they declined payment and said they were happy to help. More recently, I worked with the team on a complex heat pump repair involving a compressor replacement. Brandy, who works closely with Scott managing many aspects of the operation, was highly capable, knowledgeable, and clear in her communication throughout the process. Brian was instrumental in the compressor replacement itself, working through the complexity of the job with care and persistence. Nick was also very helpful, running diagnostics and performing the final checks to ensure the system was operating properly and at full capacity. The entire process was handled thoughtfully, with transparency around the challenges involved. In my case, the full compressor replacement came in at roughly $500, for a job that took approximately 10 hours due to the learning curve involved for both the team and myself. It was a bit of a calculated risk to go this route, but compared to an estimated several-thousand-dollar replacement elsewhere, I couldn’t be happier with the outcome or the experience. What stands out about Scott’s Automotive is not just technical capability, but a willingness to take on challenging work honestly and collaboratively. I’ve recommended Scott, Brandy, and the entire team many times since, and will continue to do so without hesitation.

When it came time for me to purchase new winter tires, my son recommended Scott's Automotive. Scott was a pleasure to deal with. He took the time to educate me, and provided his knowledgeable advice. On installation day, service was swift; his team are efficient. I can definitely understand why my son raves about Scott's professionalism, customer care and attention to detail. Highly recommend!
