At first I was skeptical... But came here and the food was great, the decor and atmosphere was good regardless whether this is a tourist area. Service was similar to other good restaurants but what tipped it over the top was an emotional person came in (wasn't causing problems) the staff greeted the person like any other and one of the staff kindly rejected his request for more alcohol and spent time teach him how to have a good time with the Japanese BBQ. The service was over the top! Amazing!
View on GoogleOur experience at Niku Japanese BBQ was great. The food was fresh and delicious especially the beef brisket and marinated short ribs. It was super worth it—we really enjoyed it. The staff were very accommodating, and our fellow Filipino Nikki was very kind.
View on GoogleNiku Japanese BBQ is an outstanding dining spot located right within the Niagara Falls tourist area, and it truly adds something special to the local food scene. With so many restaurants in the neighbourhood catering mainly to sightseeing visitors, it is refreshing to find a place that focuses not only on convenience but also on high-quality food, warm service, and a genuinely enjoyable dining experience. Whether you are traveling, spending a weekend near the Falls, or simply visiting the area with family and friends, this restaurant is absolutely worth a stop. The food here is excellent and clearly prepared with care. The cuts of meat are fresh, beautifully marbled, and grill perfectly at the table, staying tender and juicy with every bite. You can really taste the quality of the ingredients. The sauces and seasonings are well balanced and enhance the flavour rather than overwhelming it. Beyond the barbecue itself, the side dishes, salads, and appetizers are thoughtfully made and complement the meal nicely, making the entire dining experience feel complete rather than repetitive. Compared with many tourist-area restaurants that focus mainly on volume, Niku Japanese BBQ truly stands out for its craftsmanship in food preparation. The service is another highlight. Even during busy hours — which is common in the Niagara Falls district — the staff remain friendly, attentive, and patient. They take the time to explain menu items, offer grilling suggestions, and check in at just the right moments without interrupting the meal. Their professionalism and hospitality make you feel genuinely welcomed rather than treated as just another passing visitor. It is clear that the team values both efficiency and warmth, which creates a positive and comfortable dining atmosphere. The ambiance of the restaurant also adds to the experience. The interior is clean, modern, and cozy, providing a pleasant contrast to the often-crowded and noisy tourist surroundings outside. It is a great place to relax after sightseeing, enjoy a slow, shared meal, and unwind with good conversation. Whether you are on a trip, meeting friends, or celebrating a special moment during your visit to Niagara Falls, the environment here makes the meal feel memorable and enjoyable. What impresses me most is that Niku Japanese BBQ manages to maintain consistently high standards despite being located in one of the most popular tourist destinations in Canada. Many restaurants in scenic areas rely mainly on location, but this one wins guests over through quality, dedication, and sincerity. Each visit feels equally satisfying, and you leave not only full but truly happy with the experience. Overall, I highly recommend Niku Japanese BBQ to anyone visiting the Niagara Falls area who is looking for great food, excellent service, and a comfortable atmosphere. It is definitely one of the best dining choices in the scenic district and a five-star experience in every way.
View on GoogleThe food was amazing, and the service is outstanding!! Our server, Nikki, is fantastic! He was super friendly, very attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed without us ever having to ask. He checked in at the perfect times and you could tell he genuinely cared about making our experience a good one! The whole staff was great, everyone we interacted with was welcoming and on top of things. It felt like the entire team really worked together to create a fun, smooth dining experience! Will definitely be back!
View on GoogleAs an avid J-BBQ enjoyer, I had a wonderful dining experience at Niku. Weekend dinner AYCE is $54.95, but we thought everything provided was well worth it. Their dinner menu is extensive and lets you have a little taste of everything. The prime boneless short rib and the beef brisket were our favourite cuts of meat. We also really enjoyed the garlic sake clams and the squid. Beyond the variety of meats they offer, we enjoyed the miso soup, cinnamon pineapple and takoyaki. Throughout the meal, we were consistently provided good service - everyone checked in on us to see if we wanted to order more and to change our grill. Of course, the meal ended with some wonderful desserts. The sundae and frozen yogurt cups that were provided were not my favourite, but the rest of the desserts on the menu were amazing - I was especially surprised at how good the crème brûlée was. They also offered chocolate fondue that paired with a strawberry, a banana and a marshmallow that you can toast on the grill. The mango sago had a very fresh mango taste and was the perfect ending. If you’re looking to splurge on a meal at Niagara, definitely check this place out!
