My Mom has been at the Royal Rose Place for over a year, she lived with me for 21 years before that move, so the decision to place her in a Long Term Care facility was very difficult for all of us and mostly for her. Everyone there made it less painful from Administration to Nurses, PSW'S, Enrichment, housekeeping, kitchen staff etc. I even was given counseling to be able to cope with my struggles to be able to help my own Mom. I live far away and she doesn't speak English, this made things more difficult but everyone there went above and beyond to help us through this adjustment, and they still do, from Ipads, signs, emails , calls. The communication I have established with the staff is amazing. She is well taken care, entertained, stimulated better care that I could have offered her in this chapter in her life. If you observe other counties in the world and their seniors care, I truly believe we are very lucky here in Canada and most of all at the Royal Rose Place. Thank you for looking after my Mom so well!
View on GoogleMom has been here about six months. The Home is run on a skeleton crew. Difficult to find available psw. Even harder to find a nurse. All are pleasant enough but I wonder how much the staff gets to know each individual resident. Supplies are limited, towels, dishware. Staff has a 'going no where in a hurry' attitude and pass the buck at every opportunity. It is a beautiful new building though. Our senior care needs serious attention!! Unfortunately my mother took a turn for the worst and RR was unable to recognize the seriousness of the situation. It too 9 hours to get the doctors' approval for Gravol. My Mom has Alzheimers and is unablebto speak her needs. They had let her become septic. I would not trust my dog in their care. The staff are not dedicated at all.
View on Google2023 update: after an almost 7 year residency my Mom passed away and I'm happy to say my original 5 star review still stands....if I could give them 10 stars I would or I would post a second review. Their handling of Mom's final week was a stunning clinic on efficiency, empathy. 2021 review: My Mother has been a resident for four years and their service, support and communications have been absolutely flawless. Additionally their support for my Father who has had a really hard time without his gal has been stellar. Their performance from the front-line service level to the management-admin level has been beyond reproach. They have softened the blow of a terrible family experience in dramatic fashion.
View on GoogleOur step-mother spent a year at Royal Rose Place, before passing away recently from cancer. We are grateful to the staff for their high standard of care, empathy, and compassion.
View on GoogleAs I write this review, Royal Rose has denied me (Essential Care Giver) and all my family access to see my mother for the next 28days. There is no outbreak currently at the home, so to restrict us from access to my mother is a Crime against Humanity. This used to be my mother's home, but now it is a prison. I have called the ownership Jarlette Health Services 2 days ago and I yet to even receive a call back... Experimental Vaccines have been administered for dose 1... so why are we locked out?
