Great Company to deal with, Top notch service, can always rely on the Rock Bar boys to get the job done on time and done right. Not to mention they always leave the job site tidy, clean and safe!
View on GoogleOne of the Rock Bar Construction employees (owner?) lives in the Parkview West neighbourhood and I have consistently seen them driving the Rock Bar Construction pickup truck very dangerously and at very high speeds throughout this residential neighbourhood. I'm very concerned that their driving on behalf of the company is endangering the lives of the people in their neighbourhood and throughout Hamilton. I can't speak to the quality of their work beyond that.
View on GoogleThey recently did my water pipe as well, Sharon was awesome and I was please right up to the time I got home. This to me is very unprofessional. Look at how they left the site. There has to be atleast a extra pickup truck of dirt (where am I going to put this ? ) I am getting older hence why im getting oth er people to do the work. Piece of wood left with nails in it perfect for my grand daughters to step on. For me to do the interlocking stone again I now have to get rid of even more soil approx 4 inches deep by 7 ft x 6 ft. Dirt all over my walk way hence the grass now being 4-5 inches higher than the walkway. They should have leveled it before leaving. OH and they took out my internet Fibre optic cable. No call to tell me i found out from my daughter so I immiately call Bell and told them. Not happy for the price as now I have a weeks work of clean up

I am exercising my right of free speech on the World Wide Web and this review or I in any way should not be held liable for any potential damages that may be caused to Rockbar due to the content of this review. Review: I hired Rockbar Construction to upgrade my 1/2” lead line from the property line to my water meter to a 1” copper line. Their rates seemed to be competitive and overall the punctuality of their staff on the day of the job was good. I am not an expert on the scope of this work but they seemed like they knew what they were doing so the job of installing a new line seemed to be done appropriately at the time. The issue was that I never noticed (due to my inexperience on water meters) that their technician, re-installed the water meter backwards and also cut the water meter reading line that is supposed to provide readings for water billing purposes, and failed to inform me about the cut line and what I need to do about it. A few months later I had tenants move in and due to the snipped water meter reading line the water bills they agreed to pay were significantly under charged by Alectra for several months. I got possession of this property approximate 8 weeks prior to the job, so I never had any history of water bills to challenge it. It took over 6 months for the city of Hamilton to have their Neptune technician come out and fix the water meter reading line to which another month later led to them and their Billing company Alectra, to realize the meter is running backwards. This led to a major correction of water bills and hours of my time wasted battling with the city of Hamilton, Alectra and Neptune to figure out what the issue was. After many wasted days, I was finally advised that the water meter was installed backwards and then my next step was to agree on the water bills, settle them and put me in a tough position trying to convince my tenants of Settling the corrected amounts for their allocated portions; which is currently in limbo and they are challenging me on the accuracy of the water meter itself, which costs a lot of money to get tested. So I am stuck at this point and in the hole for money down the drain.. A lot of this would’ve been avoided if the Rockbar technician accurately did their job of installing the water meter correctly and informing me of the cut water meter reading line so that I could’ve got the city to fix it prior to my tenants moving in or at least kept me aware to monitor if there would’ve been some billing issues. I am just speculating but maybe their technician was not as focused as he was injured with his arm in a cast and was working primarily with one hand. I don’t know if that is a workers comp concern; not my area to challenge. I have shared this update recently with their office but haven’t received any remorse from them. As such I want to share my experience so that others can recognize that it is important to watch out for these potential risks and mitigate any issues before it is too late. I really hope Rockbar Construction takes this review and ensures their technicians pay careful attention when reinstalling water meters.
View on GoogleThey came and did our water and sewage lines. They did a great job! They made sure everything was in place to start the job and double checked everything. They showed up on time! Very pleasant and knowledgable employees. They were also very patient with my very excited son who wanted to see everything and play in the dirt. The employees also did a fantastic job with clean up. I totally recommend this company. Very satisfied customers!
