Generally this place is terrible but Allison was the most helpful (first time someone was helpful here). Update: returned and the staff were rude and misinformed as ever. Allison was rude. I do have to say the police presence at the front has been kinder.

The guards at the front never knew u get paid to scroll on your phone instead of doing your actual job of searching ppl be for they come in where can I apply to get paid to scroll on your phone cool lol

I am trying to get information on a change of name application from 1965. The Archives of Ontario told me to contact this court to get the relevant file number. I have phoned them three times in the last 2-3 weeks. It goes directly to voice message. I have left voice messages but no one has had the courtesy to call me back. Poor service.

Went to the court house and you aren't allowed to file paperwork in person. Tried to file paperwork on line. Rejected several times even when the proper documents are attached. Working from home with limited access to converting files to PDF etc. The family court system is so flawed. Just makes a difficult situation even more stressful. I don't know what people do who have very limited access to the things that the courts are demanding in terms of filing paperwork. Flawed flawed system!!! Frustrated beyond. Then you are told to call the courts house but of course no one answers the phone.

Arrived at 3:53 pm. Asked me the COVID questions. Sent me on to the guard who then told me they were closed. Apparently they close at 4 due to COVID Yet EVERYTHING on the internet says they are open til 5. He then claimed the hours hsd been updated. Nope, it hasn't. Also, I was directed by someone at the attorney generals office ( the phone number on THEIR WEBSITE) first to go to welland court which was wrong information. He was rude and it was clear he COULD HAVE LET ME IN and chose not to. EVERYWHERE ELSE updates their hours on a regular basis now and not a GOVERNMENT BUILDING? TWO 35 min drives and time off work but still have accomplished nothing. They dont care WHO messed up...not their problem
