Reif Estate Winery

I attended a tasting at Reif Estate Winery last Thursday. Staff member Oleksandr took care of our group. We found him personable, passionate about what he does, and incredibly knowledgeable. Interesting to learn about about the history of the winery, the grapes and especially the late harvest wine process. I enjoyed all 4 wines in the tasting and bought 2 of the 4, the River Road White and the Select Late Harvest Vidal. An exceptional winery, one of the oldest in Niagara. Located on beautiful grounds on Niagara River Parkway. This winery has become my favourite in NOTL.

Recently did a seated tasting at the bar. Lots of wines to choose from and I enjoyed the wines. Staff are friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable. I liked the winery itself and atmosphere. It was busy but not too busy. I visited a few wineries in Niagara on the lake and I'd come back here as good traditional wine tasting stop.

My wife and I got a coupon somewhere along our travels and we were going that way anyway so we stopped by for a tasting. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves with our tasting so we went on a full tour. The tour was interesting and fun, included several different wines to taste, glad we stopped.

While we were a bit disappointed that the sensory garden was closed for a private event during our first visit, our sommelier Michael made it a great experience. He tailored our tasting to our individual tastes, often making suggestions of wines he thought we would like or were a better option than what we selected. Next time we come to Reif, we'll definitely be making a reservation ahead of time based on how busy it was in the last hour.

Found this cute winery with old barrels at the curb. Thought we'd check it out after the farmstead pointed us this way. Oh my.. the pulled pork pizza was yummy delicious. The flight was amazing. The slushy merlot was great... we both had a great first time thanks
