Great homemade food: fresh, organic, clean. The restaurant is an old house from 1850s guys! Think about dining back in time. Sooo cool! If you love history you’ll love eating here! Food was outstanding and there are also yummy vegan choices. The lady of the house is beautiful in every way, great host, all veggies are from her garden and she knows to cook! I read a review here complaining about seeing her feeding the cats outside on her front porch. Well, Good For Her! Bravo 👏 I hope you the one who didn’t like it, one day will find some compassion inside yourself to feed others too! Once again: very clean place and great homemade food! 💯 % Recommend it 👍
View on GoogleBeautiful, special, and memorable dining experience. Highly recommended to call in advance and make a reservation -- this is not a standard commercial restaurant, but an individual's labour of love, which you taste with every bite and feel with every bit of care in the service. We passed by on what we thought would be the opening hours based on the advertised information, and found it to be already closed. We simply called to make a reservation for the following day, and the owner kindly opened up on a day that she normally doesn't open to serve us. We had the place to ourselves, and felt individual care and attention to detail with every interaction. It is one woman who owns, operates, cooks, and prepares the drinks all by herself, and she is an exceptional cook and warm and remarkable person. So, expect a slow but personalized and cared-for experience. It is quite expensive, but compared to the majority of restaurants in Niagara Falls that cost the time but serve the same mediocre generic food and drink, here you get what you pay for. Thoughtful dishes and organic vegetables grown in their garden. My wife is gluten-free and I am vegan and we appreciated the delicious options available to us. We both have Central/Eastern European roots and so the food reminded us of what our grandmothers used to make, with all of the home-made care, but also the exceptional craft of a true chef.
View on GoogleThe experience is really nice. You are literally in the past. The food was I very tasty you can feel traditions and home made for a kindly chef. Also I found Alchocha (caigua Peruana) the best!
View on GoogleIt is a bit pricey and it is not for you if you are in a rush as the owner is also the chef and the server. But the food is delicious, the vegetarian options are awesome ( as per my friend). The ambience is a bit old, but in my opinion it adds charm to the place.
View on GoogleGoogle says open, sign in window says open but the doors were all locked around the building. I’ve heard great things - the building is beautiful. Disappointed drove a hour one way from the states to only find it closed after paying for parking etc. Edit addition after restaurants reply - please update your hours on google! Also the sign in the window in daylight doesn’t “look” like it would be lit a certain color as it straight on shows open like many shop windows…the sign is tricky to know otherwise. Possibly post hours in a window next to the sign or elsewhere. Next time! Mindegyy, will try again another time.
