Real Canadian Superstore St Catharines

Last week, the manager and the person who answered my best friend's call went above and beyond. Sometimes life can be so challenging. Last week, a grocery order with some missing items was just too much after an unbelievably hard week. Thank you for being so kind on the phone and making sure she got her order. It may seem so basic, but it was beautiful and so helpful for someone who is having the hardest of times right now. Thanks for the reminder that this world has good, good people in it.

Called to make sure that they weren't closing early due to bad weather, made a long and much more risky than normal drive there...Only to find that they had closed the doors fifteen minutes early. And the guy at the door literally told me that there were no longer cashiers working, as we were both physically looking through the window at cashier's checking people out. He thought it was funny. I understand that sometimes prices jump 10-20% in a day which seems kind of common here lately, and that is probably common among all grocery stores... But stuff like this is ridiculous. I would have had no problem with people going home early...I literally asked, but it was obviously worth risking my safety for nothing just to say what they were supposed to say on the phone. And the smug laughing at the group of people standing at the door from the doorman was definitely not appreciated either.

December 27th, 1:00pm (since my husband didn’t catch the workers name and you know who’s working that desk at this time) You need better people working the customer service desk. My husband went to pick up a flashfood order and items were missing. Instead of resolving the issue the worker walked away, told my husband to go away and ignored him. When he asked to speak to a supervisor he was ignored again. Another worker finally came and resolved the issue. I’m sorry but if you’re missing items that have been ordered it is the responsibility of the store to resolve the issue not tell a customer to “go away”. Please consider better training for your staff at the service desk or moving them somewhere they do not have to deal with the public. We have had issues with the same worker before. This is not an isolated incident.

This place is awesome in terms of large variety of American food, but they don't restock Asian food very often. I can't understand why Zehrs near by is smaller but have more TnT products and Asian food that no one knows about and needs to sell. People need to go there. The weirdest thing about this location, it have a large variety of Asian sauces but not the foods in Zehrs that is high demand. I am posting these pictures for all the Asians to buy those food, instead of traveling to Toronto or Mississauga to pick up these items. I see the most Chinese or Asian customers here shopping but probably have no idea Zehrs near by have more options in food but not sauces. I hope this helps people.

Update: the “premium banana bundles” didn’t make an appearance last visit. But this store has a history of fluctuating prices and anti-consumer decisions. I’m sure we’ll see them again. We notice things like this. Like when apple cider was $5. Then “on-sale” $1 off their new $6 price. Months later, $6 — one dollar off the new $7 price tag. Now you can find it conveniently located on and end cap for $8 to enjoy. Enjoy your HST savings! Forcing people to buy 3lbs of bananas should be criminal. You’ve already jacked up prices month after month. Making the cheapest fruit more profitable is a disgusting business practice. Don’t bundle them, people can buy as much as they need.
