Terrible. Only thing I liked was local stuff, everything else sucked, I’m a regular Canal day goer and it was dissatisfying this year

Yesterday the Reach Out Centre had a fundraiser. You got 4 soups, biscuits and brownies for $25. We tried the turkey noodle and ham with split pea soups. Everything was delicious! Thank you to the Reach Out Centre for all the meals they provide to all their clients! They really appreciate all of the donations they get from the community!

I agree with helping and feeding the most vulnerable in our city. We have always donated food & money throughout the year to Port Cares until I had an awaking this Christmas. We have seen & witness the homeless rate in our city with a methadone clinic in our neighborhood and a crack house on our street. They use the food bank and have several homeless coming and going. Dec. 23/22 we seen the city bylaw dropping off food not once that day but twice, 20 minutes apart. Then the people in the house have a big party and celebrate the food they just received. The police and fire department are always there. People continually getting handcuffed and arrested. The fire department also often drops off food at this house. Does Port Cares know where the food is going? We will not be a part of enabling people. The methadone clinics do not solve the drug problem in our city and Port Cares isn't solving the problem either. It's worse. Sorry we will not donate any more. We will find families that we know really need a help in hand. I was stunned when I seen Port Cares employs 77 people. Our donations will go elsewhere. LB

I was a vendor at a holiday event to raise money for the food bank and I have to say it was truly a fantastic experience. I met a lot of lovely vendors, the organizers were fantastic, and the crowd was lovely. I am so grateful to have been invited, and hope to be back next year. I can't recommend it enough.
