Nothing but anger and attitude problems on these road workers, especially the traffic controllers that work directly for Rankin. Especially power tripper and hissy fit thrower Nicole. I understand construction is tough, but that's no reason to take it out on the public and fellow construction workers near by. Hire Archer next time Tom.
View on GoogleIf I could give this company 0 or negative stars I would. They are some of the most unprofessional, arrogant and unproductive workers I have ever seen. Not only did it take them over 6 months to complete a small portion of the road, but the entire ‘proposed project’ is not even finished. It will now continue into the following year (2024). The workers start before their legal start time of 7:00am, they do not properly warn you when they will be blocking off or restricting your driveway, they park their personal and company vehicles/dump trucks/heavy machinery in front of your driveway and on the front portion of your property, they do not let you easily access the closest access point to your property (while you see company/other personal vehicles going through said access point), they make you park and walk elsewhere while your driveway is inaccessible (as their company and personal vehicles are parked on the side of the road your house is on), some drive very erratically as they’re leaving the site for the day, and the list goes on. This company has taken over the entire Niagara region and surrounding areas with so many projects, it seems they’ve taken on more than they can handle. One day a young man decided to block the only visible exit point of our road by just standing and talking to his buddy, as if he had nothing better to do. The man proceeded to turn around, stare at our car and a couple other cars following behind, and decide to continue his conversation with his coworker. Total disregard for anyone else. All the man did was give a smug look with a stare and turn around to continue blocking the only unblocked exit point of the roadway (he was not a flag person). The arrogance is strong with a lot of the Rankin employees. I have witnessed multiple workers just standing around doing absolutely nothing throughout the day. Several workers can be seen standing amongst each other, while one person proceeds to drive a tractor or operate the heavy machinery. No wonder it takes this company so disturbingly long to accomplish anything/finish any project in the region. It’s just a constant abuse of tax payers’ money at this point. The flaggers that direct the traffic, do much more work in a day and are usually much more polite. Rankin employees could use some serious lessons on how to act courteous, productive and professional while on the job.
View on GoogleCan’t speak to their actual work - this is about traffic management. Worst company in the area for managing their impact on local traffic - especially high volume areas. Current example is Victoria Ave. Almost no wait time going north (3:45 pm when everyone is heading home - mostly south). But waited 3 turns to get through going south. If this was the first, second or even third time I had seen this kind of thing with them, I would call (again) and probably get the same non-response (again - or get told to go around.next time). But I’m not calling anymore. These guys need to seriously re-evaluate how they manage traffic.
View on Googlelet’s be real—no one likes having work done in front of their house. That being said the Rankin crew worked as efficiently as I could hope for to get it done with as little hassle as possible when I needed to get out of my driveway Supervisor Josh was courteous and helpful to make space, it’s a thankless job but my interaction helped ease the frustration of routine road improvement
View on GoogleI've about had it with your company. Workers are completely disrespectful of the residents of our neighborhood. Constantly parking convoys worth of vehicles up and down the street making sight lines and navigation a real pain. Today they've decided we don't need to leave our house and despite enough room to park in between driveways, mine has been blocked for hours
