Second time going here. First time was good. Flaky crust on their pies... Today I went and the pie was stale, no doubt it wasn't from today thats for sure.. I also got some sweets but its like they forgot to put sugar in them. Eclairs - idk what i was eating. All I tasted was whipped cream without sugar and its like it was made on bread dipped in tasteless chocolate (besr way I can describe it). I also got those round cakes with the jam in the middle and if it wasn't for powder sugar and that jam id throw it out. The cornetto I got the cream was crumbling falling out too.. Came home and put the pie in the oven and crust came out same way it went in... First time I went it was really good and even the box was hot when I brought it to my car. I guess going there right after they open is when they sell what they haven't sold prior to that day?.. Also the woman working there soon as I asked her if she had any pies that were hot so we dont have to come home and cook them further? "No" and looked away like she didnt wanna be bothered. , her answers were very short. Ill prob give them another shot (not for sweets) but ill go mid day or something. So hard finding consistency 😪
View on GoogleI've had individual pies and large lies to heat at home. The food quality is fantastic, and I love the selection of British treats that they also sell. The customer experience is a bit bleak. I never felt welcome, somehow as if I'm putting the man behind the counter out, like he's not actually glad I'm.there. And I've not been offered any convenient way to get my purchases our of the store. It's very weird. The pies are fantastic and I will recommend the shop and continue to go there, I also think the large lies are great value, but I do wish customer service felt like it held some importance to them.
View on GooglePreston Pies used to be a phenomenal spot for British food. Sadly, the quality continues to decrease as prices increase. The service is not what it used to be either. I thought it might've been an off day once in a while, that maybe the person cooking/baking that day didn't care as much about the food, but it's clear that it's trending downward.
View on GoogleI never leave reviews so you know I’m being honest when I say that this place has to have the most delicious pies I have ever had. Specifically the steak and mushroom/guiness pie. It’s savoury and the crust is so light. All the pies are pre cooked so you just have to heat them up. Definitely a hidden gem and I would 100% recommend giving them a try!
View on GoogleThis was my first time coming here I found this place on Google maps looking for a good meat pie and this place is really special...it's small but cute and they have a good variety of flavors. The best empire Cookies I've ever tried I wish I had got more than one! I came from Milton and it was worth the drive!! I'll definitely be back for more!! And the pies tasted good reheated too!! Wonderful service as well! Edit:came here Canada weekend and was closed and we came back August 9th when google says they are open and they are closed on the door says they are on vacation till aug 14th. We bought the frozen pies at the Avondale next door and they were defrosted by time we got home and were garbage. Nowhere online was this posted and I’m very disappointed as I drove all the way from Milton!!
