Portal Village Retirement Community by Spring Living

We moved to Portal Village about 6 weeks ago from another Retirement Community, where we lived for 2years. The Garden Terrace is so different from where we came. The staff here are very knowledgeable, well trained and compassionate. We feel safe and seen here. The building is well maintained and the few things we needed fixed were done immediately. I can't say enough about how great it is here. Everyone is so calm and friendly. My husband had a fall and a nurse and a PSW came to his aid in 3 minutes!!! A reason why we feel safe here. I can't thank you enough!

We have lived at Portal Village for ten months and are enjoying our retirement years. There are many recreational activities that we can participate in if and when we want as well as frequent entertainment to keep us from feeling alone. From the day we settled in our apartment we felt at home . Our apartment is bright and the weekly visit by housekeeping is greatly appreciated. We have made many new friends and all have been so helpful in helping us find our way around. Staff greet us with a smile and by our name. Thank you to each and every staff .

Myself and my spouse spent significant time at Portal Village visiting my mother, whom has become a more recent resident. During our guest stay, we had many encounters with the staff and found those to be quite lovely experiences. In particular, Shelley at the front desk was a real gem. She was kind, warm, reliable and accommodating to our needs. Joan in housekeeping was also outstanding. She was attentive to our requests, thoughtful and caring. Kieran in maintenance was equally personable as he was professional. My mother has spent approximately four months at Portal Village and has voiced nothing less than positive reports. Based on our own personal extensive experiences with another family member in a different senior living residence, we feel that Portal Village is well organized, managed and staffed. As such, it is most certainly worthy of strong consideration by anyone investigating this type of lifestyle transition.

Kind and caring staff!!! We particularly thought Paige was a lovely young woman...she was so kind and lots of fun (always a pretty smile on her face) during our moms recovery from hip surgery. Our mother really enjoyed her and looked forward to her hugs.

Portal Village is a great seniors residents, where we enjoy every month holding a church service for them.
