I've been in Port Colborne for a while now. If I had to sum up the town and people, I would have to compare it to that of an Onroute stop. The number of loud cars, pick-up trucks, motorcycles, dirt bikes and atv's is RIDICULOUS for a town of this size!!!! This place is annoyingly busy for the size and number of people who live here. Where are they going, and what could they possible be up to? 40km IS NOT the speed limit for every single street in Port Colborne. But I am continuously stuck behind people who can't read the posted speed limit sign, or possibly require glasses to read and drive! What can be said about the beloved lift bridges, other than they suck. Every time....every time..... I actually have to be somewhere important, and on time.... the bridges screw me over. I will give 2 positives. You can get a good breakfast here, and the parking is free.
View on GoogleMy wife and I stopped in to get a map to help us get to Niagara Falls and Toronto since our phones weren't working in Canada. The friendly and helpful staff went out of their way to help us get the information we needed to safely continue our journey. We also found a lot of information about other attractions in the Niagara Peninsula that we didn't know about before. This is a fascinating area and this is a great place to stop and learn more about it. Thank you!
