Wonderful place and so clean and organized. Staff are just amazing and friendly, really feels like home
View on GoogleI really love this place. I go to a Twelve Step Meeting here weekly when I'm able. The staff are friendly, and the library is clean and very well maintained. I think you can tell a lot about a place by the way they keep their facilities. Stop by, say hi, but remember that they are likely closed on any Canadian civic holiday. Thank you Port Colborne for giving us such a lovely library for both residents and visitors alike to have at our fingertips.
View on GoogleI had the pleasure of visiting the Port Colborne Library today for the first time. I must say I was very impressed. To begin with, the gentlemen who greeted me at the front door and gave me a tour was very kind. The library itself is the best library that I have ever been to of that size. The have a wide range of movies and TV shows that can be borrowed, some very nice quiet spaces to study, along with many computers available to surf the internet with. They even have a seed section in which you can take home seeds to plant with!! After I left the library I visited different parts of the museum (which is part of the library I believe) and I was greeted by several other very kind and helpful people! I must say I was pleasantly surprised by everything and everyone on the compound. Great work to everybody who helps to keep this place up and running! Very impressive!! Thanks
View on GoogleFantastic staff members! Me and my friend were looking for local history articles, and they were able to redirect us to resources. Got the booksale items and for a lot of items it came to just $4. The librarians were so helpful setting us up with a temporary, 3 month, library card for our vacation. Easy to renew, and it was free even though we are not from the same county.
View on GoogleThis is quickly becoming my second home. Getting used to the staff - there were some really terrific people there years ago who made my Dad feel like family. He was gravely ill, and a staff member, who has since retired, would send him cards and flowers when he was hospitalized. She was top-notch, very caring and took an interest in everybody. The staff working there now has big shoes to fill, which they are trying their best to do. I love the library, but find that some staff members are cool and have been at times unable to help me with a request. I do love the library itself, it is very airy and much brighter after a renovation years ago. However, I wish the books were shelved differently. They need to do some reorganizing in that respect as they are very disorganized. I am sure it would be quite a feat to organize all their books in a logical alphabetical order though. All in all, I give this library props. I visit at least twice a week, so that says a lot!
